The tom is far more agreeable than Constatine expected, though Praireclanners are told to be the most diplomatic of the clans when it comes to strangers. Having met a clan cat willing to answer his burning questions, Constantine takes the opportunity to ask Onionpelt about his way of life. He gains a fair bit of information and is left with an overall pleasant impression of Praireclan due to this meeting. However, he is not foolish to believe all Praireclanners share Onionpelt's irregularly welcoming sentiments on peaceful travelers. feeling scared every stare will cut like blades | THE BARN |
🍁 ft. Sage | In-progressUpon his arrival to the valley, Constantine is brought to the barn and its denizens by a free-roaming housecat named Lux. There he is approached by the she-cat Sage who has found refuge with the barn cats and warns him of the clans' general distaste for loners, who they see as competitors for food and other resources. She also warns him of a splinter group of rogues near the cabin in Praireclan territory, who have radical ideals born from a burning hatred of the clans and their way of life. The politics of this valley are more complicated than he initially thought, but Constantine is still intrigued and has pragmatic dreams to talk civilly with all the clan's leaders someday to assure his seasonal safe passage through their territory. ----- THREAD NAME | LOCATION |

At the warning call, Newtpaw manages to make it to the tunnels in time while Wasppaw is not so lucky. For a short time, in the chaos, Newtpaw goes missing and Smallbreeze's former apprentice - and Newtpaw's mentor - relies on her expertise of the tunnel network to find the wayward apprentice. Her surviving granddaughter is ignorant of the loss when Smallbreeze finds her lost and afraid.
