half-moon gathering [sept 2023]
Welcome to our first half-moon gathering for medicine cats and their apprentices! To provide a stress-free and concise way to see what our medics have to say during their meeting, we have provided the following prompts for our medicine cats to respond to. This is optional for apprentices, but required for the fully trained medicine cats! Please respond to this thread with your medicine cat's answers. The in-character thread may be started by any of the three full medicine cats...feel free to plot out or roll for arrival order in Discord! Participation isn't required, but is strongly recommended to establish relationships with your fellow medics!

[/b]Please detail any information your medicine cat would share with the other medicine cats regarding any plot details. This can include the missing kits of MistClan, the recent altercation between RidgeClan and MistClan, the increased loner presence, or any other plot point that can be found on our site plot or clan adoptables pages.
[b]REGARDING STARCLAN.
[/b]Please detail any information your medicine cat would share regarding StarClan, including any interpreted messages or thoughts/concerns/opinions regarding their ancestors.

[/b]Please detail anything your cat may try and ask/discuss with StarClan. Our ancestors can be tricky to converse with...answers are not guaranteed!

> Missing MistClan kits: Lotusfire would make the other medicine cats aware that MistClan was still searching for their missing kits and ask if the other clans have noticed any signs of the kits recently.
> Increasing outsider presence: Like they had during the Gathering, Lotusfire would continue to claim the outsiders weren't a threat and that a large patrol of warriors could easily chase them away, but they shouldn't waste their time and resources.
> RidgeClan/MistClan altercation: Lotusfire would say very little about the altercation, though they might grumble about how if both sides are smart, they'll refrain from picking a fight in the midst of leaf-bare.
REGARDING STARCLAN.
Lotusfire would try not to say much about StarClan. Any questions about their interactions with StarClan will be met with a glare and a sharp response. FOR STARCLAN.
Lotusfire will come to the medicine cat gathering with no words prepared to be shared with their ancestors. StarClan has always refused to speak with them and surely this meeting will be no different. REGARDING HERB SUPPLY AND/OR ILLNESS. Catmint, as well as other herbs that are especially necessary to have in leaf-bare, are difficult to come by, so Lotusfire will suggest they do their best to share as much of it as possible. They will also offer to help the other clans in whatever way they can. |

Missing kits of MistClan: Maplefrost echoes his leader and mother, Littlestar, in their adamant search for the kits. No signs have been found at this time. Seeing as MistClan and PrairieClan are now in an alliance, it is a shared mission from the clan in the moors to be able to recover Irisfrost's kits safe, healthy, and happy. Recent altercation with RidgeClan and MistClan: As he didn't attend the last Gathering, Maplefrost was not able to hear the bickering between Dawnclaw and Mushroomstar. All his information was gathered second-hand. The ginger tom would look intently towards the other two clans to hear their side of the story, as if he was a gossipy queen in the nursery. Increased loner presence: Maplefrost would only gruffly comment that PrairieClan is ready to deal with any loners, and leave it at that. As a previous warrior, he would keep it to himself that he disagrees with his mother's eagerness to accept new blood into the clan and the new development of the cabin sect of rogues... At least, of what Littlestar would actually tell him. As far as he is concerned, the other clans do not need to know. And if they ask, he would probably retort in a snarky comment back. REGARDING STARCLAN. Maplefrost would say that he hasn't spoken to StarClan or received any messages. Even if he did, he would not tell the others. FOR STARCLAN. Maplefrost would ask if StarClan can give him any information about the cabin sect that Littlestar did not share with him. He only received basic information, and he would argue that he has the right to know in order to protect his clan, as he can no longer do it with claws and fangs. He would also ask if StarClan has any guidance, prophecies, or omens for them. With leaf-bare upon the valley, Maplefrost doesn't want any surprises. If it is Shrikeberry that visits him: He would tell her how much he misses her, and how he feels lost without her. He would ask Shrikeberry for advice on how to lead [apprentice's name], as Maplefrost feels as though he doesn't have the skills and knowledge to teach. REGARDING HERB SUPPLY AND/OR ILLNESS. He would second what Lotusfire states, and says that both him and Lionflower are willing to share and trade herbs as needed. Maplefrost wouldn't express that he desires it to be a trade, as he is still head-strong on providing for his clan first above everything, but he knows that he will have to more forgiving if he wants to build the trust of the other medicine cats. Maplefrost is worried about another outbreak of Greencough like there was a few leaf-bares ago, but keeps this too himself, as he doesn't not want PrairieClan to appear weak. |
