There are many ways one could describe Flicker. She is a patch of the night sky in the form of a small, but enthusiastic, kitten. She is the remaining orange leaves clinging to the dark branches of a great tree in the latest days of fall. She's the embers that remain hot after a fire is doused in the two-leg camping grounds. She's the sparkle of water, the twinkle of snow, the reflection of glowing eyes on a dark night.

But mostly, she's a growing kitten with a lot of energy seeking new experiences in the only world she knows. 

Flicker loses her birth parents before she's even conscious enough to consider that she has them. Even now, where she comes from is not even a distant dream. It's a forgotten memory, always out of reach.

What she gains from such an early loss is a tight bond with her siblings and a doting father in the form of Summit, a cat so tall that she honestly believes he could defend them from bears if it came to it. Her life with her family at the barn is loving, warm, despite the snows and frosts that otherwise cover the landscape beyond. For most of her life, this is the only place she knows.

But as she and her siblings grow into their limbs a little more, she can't help but grow curious about what's beyond the barn. The fields of the farm, when she manages to convince Cranberry to take her. Meadows, though frosted over now, that Partridge tells her will soon erupt with herbs and flowers when spring comes. Worlds beyond, where clan cats fight as warriors. And even beyond there - where packs of rogues band together to protect themselves and sometimes others. And beyond that... who knows?

She quickly comes to have a drive for experiencing everything she can in life. A little bit of a future jack-of-all-trades, she wants to explore everything she possibly can about the world around her. This starts with play, rough housing, and digging up roots she thinks might be useful (they aren't), but in the future she may learn a variety of skills (though possibly never truly mastering any), because she wants to know a little bit of everything.

She's also recently come to possess a great deal of energy that can make her a little bit unmanageable at this age. In time, she might grow tougher, which is exactly what she wants: to be tough and strong like the cats who take care of her. And while she's very keen on learning and adventuring, she's also very attached to her siblings.

For now, that attachment keeps her safe and secure in the barn. Only time will tell how long she will stay there. 

Pre-Plotting: Flicker is one of Summit's adopted kits. She is friendly with the cats Balsam keeps company with and ultimately is very removed from any conflict between the clanless and the clans.

In the future, Flicker may become friendly with an apprentice from PrairieClan. She may even join a clan, depending on how things turn out. If not a clan, she may join the Kingdom. She has a sense for adventure, so whatever she does, it will probably take here away from her home at the barn, one day.

Family: The only family Flicker has ever known are her siblings and her adopted father, Summit. She also views many other frequent faces at the barn as family. Family, to her, is Summit's steady presence, Cranberry's laugh, Whiskey's fond tut every time she's being a little annoying. 
Friends: As a barn kit, Flicker's life goal is to befriend any other kits who pass through the barn, but for the most part, her closest friends are her siblings.
