SUFFIX: Belly - for her humor and lively spirit, rather than having a desirable skill
appearance
A white she-cat with tawny markings and piercing blue eyes.
She is seen as a bridge between her siblings, as they all have a gradient of color when they are next to each other. She is small, like her siblings. She is not bigger than Snowlight, but not smaller than Shadowgaze. In the middle, as always. Due to her adventuring and energy, she tends to have dust or dirt on her usually. However, she keeps it clean when she can.
Her coat is white, like her sister's, but she has brown-and-gray markings and stripes on her head, back, hips, legs, and tail. As her tail progresses, it gets dark until she has a dark-brown tip on the end. Juniperbelly kept her baby-blue eyes as she got older, which can turn more piercing and dark as night falls. He nose is a sweet pink color.

description
kithood [0 moons to 6 moons]
Before this litter, RidgeClan had been blessed with two other litters. They were told to set an example for this litter to follow in their footsteps to be great cats of the clan.
Juniperkit was born along with Snowkit and Shadowkit. All named for their pelt colors. Juniperkit was the bridge between her sibling's pelt colors. "My, look at her stripes!" The other queens would say. Ashnose and Lightfur were just happy to have their kits born healthy, so that they all could learn and devout their faith to StarClan.
Juniperkit was going to be the best cat in the clan. She wasn't sure what she wanted to do yet, though. Everything interested her. She could be a medicine cat, or a guardian, or a student of the oracle. Even a warrior seemed to interest her. All she wanted to do was grow up as quickly as possible.
She had been born with seemingly endless energy. "Juniperkit, sit still," "Juniperkit, stop moving," and "Juniperkit, stop making faces," were the most common words throughout her childhood. However, she never heard them from the litter that was only a moon old than her. She constantly tried to join in their games, and used that time to get out all the energy in her tiny kit body.
"Rabbitkit, will you make sure that there's an empty nest next to you?" Juniperkit looked to her closest friend, as it was time for his apprentice ceremony. Suddenly, the leader's voice called for a clan meeting.
"Of course, I will, Juniperkit," he replied, with a playful nudge. Their two personalities, while causing some minor kit arguments, worked well together.
After Sliverpaw and Sorrelpaw, then Rabbitpaw, Foxpaw, and Weaselpaw, became apprentices, Juniperkit was pretty bored. Shadowkit was always wanting to learn more about StarClan with his parents, and Snowkit followed him as well. But Juniperkit walked to her own beat. Anything to practice being the best cat in the clan, no matter what she wanted to study.
She was going to be the best.
apprenticeship [6 moons - 12 moons]
Alongside her siblings, she became Juniperpaw.
Her mentor was Sweetberry, a warrior on the younger side, but still had an apprentice before Juniperpaw. Unfortunately, an attack of a hawk took the apprentice's life before their naming ceremony. Even more than ever, Sweetberry wanted to have an apprentice graduate under her training.
The two of them were a great pair, especially prevalent in the beginning. However, not long after her apprenticeship started, Juniperpaw was not progressing as she should. Sure, she was a decent warrior, but not as skilled as Shadowpaw or Snowpaw.
"Maybe you should be an Oracle student, Juniperpaw." However, after the first lesson, Sweetberry had to escort her away due to Juniperpaw's mischief and accidentally disrespecting them.
"Maybe you could go into medicine, you are really good at memorization." But after Juniperpaw almost gave a kit a couple of holly berries, when she thought it was hawthorne, it was decided that being a medicine cat wasn't in her future.
"Maybe you could be a guardian." That was a good idea, until Juniperpaw ran away the first time that a hawk attacked a patrol she was with.
"I just don't know what to do, how do I help her?" Juniperpaw heard Sweetberry crying in a secluded corner of camp. She hunkered down to listen.
"You are doing all you can do, Sweetberry. She is just not destined to be a great warrior of RidgeClan. And that's okay," she heard another voice, being from a warrior named Windflight.
"But I see Cranepaw in her," Sweetberry said. Her former apprentice. "I am not going to let her fail."
Shadowpaw hangs around Wolfstar a lot, don't he? ...huh.
Juniperpaw, unlike some other cats, doesn't really listen to everything that Wolfstar speaks about. All she cares about is proving Sweetberry wrong. She wanted to be the best apprentice for her mentor.
Before she knew it, her assessment was here. After her attempt at a spar left her behind, and possibly not passing her assessment, she knew that she needed to do well in the hunting portion.
Juniperpaw quickly took off after they were tasked with hunting a land-dwelling animal and a flight animal. Using her skills, she ran around trying to get the smell of a prey animal. Something, anything.
Then she found it! A squirrel that was not too far away. Carefully, she stalked the prey until it was in sight. And then... she pounced! Only to catch a paw full of leaves. Juniperpaw watched as she saw the prey run away.
Sweetberry approached her soon after. "Did you see that? I almost got it, I just need to track it again, and the-"
"Juniperpaw, you are out of time... the assessment is over." Sweetberry muttered, watching her apprentice's enthusiasm fall.
"I... I tried. I really did," Juniperpaw squeaked.
"I know you did," Sweetberry said, before turning away and grabbing something behind the rock near by. It was a rabbit and a finch. "If you don't say anything, I won't either. You take these and go become a warrior, kid."
warrior [12 moons to 30 moons]
Juniperpaw became Juniperbelly, with Shadowgaze and Snowlight. Even with passing her assessment, Wolfstar knew that she really didn't have a skill to name her after. However, she thought the name was just fine.
Juniperbelly still remained close with Rabbitfern. Not in a romantic type of way, but they understood each other better than they did themselves. Once Rabbitfern, however, started being included into Wolfstar's circle, Juniperbelly was obviously jealous.
She knew deep down that she would never be trusted with an apprentice, so all she really did was serve on border patrols. Considering she wasn't trusted to bring anything back from hunting.
However, Shadowgaze and Rabbitfern urged her to join them with Wolfstar's circle.
It was something for her to do, something that she could have a purpose in, so she joined soon after with her sister, Snowlight.
"You know, I could help you with hunting," a dark-brown tom's voice echoed alongside the walls of the mountain during a patrol.
"I'm not an apprentice anymore!" Juniperbelly squealed to the tom named Cedarhawk. "If anything, I want to be a guardian. I know I ran away the first time, but I know that I can do it if I tried."
"Well, why don't I teach you to be a guardian then?" He cooed to the she-cat, causing her to look at him in awe.
When she wasn't with her friends, she was with Cedarhawk. Surprisingly, to most cats, he was actually making progress in training her to be a guardian. Otherwise, they could be seen sneaking off to have adventures or sharing tongues at the end of the day.
Juniperbelly dismissed the ideas of her having a crush on Cedarhawk, but she knew she did.
Shadowgaze and Sliverheart get into an argument, which only ends in the two seperating ties, along with Sorrelstripe.
Rabbitfern tells her to ignore Sliverheart. But she doesn't want to! Juniperbelly liked the circle of friends that they had, and hated that it had to be broken up like this.
But still, she listens.
Cedarhawk keeps hinting at a relationship with Juniperbelly. Will he ask?
Wolfstar calls for a war in MistClan, and she is instructed to stay behind. "To protect the kits," they tell her. But she knows that her clan still doesn't trust her skills, even with the progress she is making with Cedarhawk.
So she waits. And waits. And waits.
Before long, the clan returns, defeated. She sees cats dragging other cats, blood, gore, everything coming in through the entrance. Her friends.
She looks first for her siblings, Shadowgaze and Snowlight. They are alive. Then comes Weaselsong, Rabbitfern, Foxflight, Sorrelstripe. She tries her best to welcome them all back, despite the tension between the friend group.
Where's Sliverheart?
But, while searching for him, a warrior drags in a deceased cat in their jaws. Cedarhawk. Before she can think, Juniperbelly crumbles to the ground crying.
Sliverheart returns, but his back injury sends him to the elder's den. As much as she wants to visit him, she isn't sure how he would react. They were still friends, right?
She just wanted everyone to be friends again.
Shadowgaze becomes distant to her and Snowlight. To everyone really. As a result, so does the group of friends. Is this the end of it? Is she going to be alone now?
Sliverheart returns to the warrior's den. She is happy, but keeps it to herself.
Juniperbelly keeps to herself, mostly. When she can, she joins patrols with members of the former friend group and her siblings. While she isn't the most skilled warrior, she knows that she can heal with her humor and liveliness. She hopes she can help be a bridge between the friends, someone that all of them can depend on throughout the rest of their lives.
And maybe, just maybe... she can find her purpose and bring them all back together again.

Pre-Plotting: Juniperbelly is an adopt from Silverheart's wanted ad.
She is a mix of Saturn and Uranus in the RidgeClan plot views. Generally, she will attach herself to someone that can give her a task (finding out Wolfstar's true reason of death, denying the oracle role, etc). Whichever group will give her the time of day, really. She hates that she had involvement with the war, but acknowledges it and hopes to move on.
