appearance
a tall, fluffy calico she-cat with yellow eyes and a torn right ear
If it wasn't for her spots, she would look just like her brother. Despite that, she is even near the same height as him. Unlike most, she has more brawn in her muscles and stronger than the typical cat. Magonlia, like her mother, is a calico with bright orange, brown, and black spots, though her pelt is predominantly white. She has a pink nose, marbled paws, and yellow eyes. Her right ear is torn, due to an encounter with a hawk near the graveyard when she was an adolescent.

"She always plays so much rougher than Whiskey," Clara comments as the large she-kit pins down one of her older cousins. The antics of the kit makes her father laugh, despite the shoulder nudge from Clara.
"Well, then, she'll be a hell of a fighter for the barn!"chuckled Mortimer, watching Magnolia chase after the other kit she just wrestled to the ground.
"Since when has the barn cats had to defend themselves? Nothing like that happens here. She needed to be a regal and elegant ambassador for our barn cats."
"Good luck with that," coffed Mortimer, as some hay flew off the ground from Maggie pinning another kit on the floor.
Training started early for the two barn kits, under their aunt Caoimhe, who was arguably their favorite cat in the barn. Magnolia looked up to her so much. The rich stories of her travels outside of the barn appealed to her. There was so much world to explore outside of the barn, but all her family wanted to do was to stay here!
Clara would take Magnolia away from her lessons pretty often to teach her how to be a diplomatic she-cat in the barn. How to be elegant, graceful, poised. It was only reinforced to her that she wasn't supposed to be interested in hunting and fighting. No playing in the mud, no unsheathing her claws... all rules that she hated!
It wasn't long before a rift happened between Maggie and Clara, once Maggie was growing restless by taking care of the kits and learning about medicine. Maggie was tired of being treated like an fragile she-cat that she wasn't, especially when her mother got persistent that she needed to start thinking of taking a mate.
"I'm sorry that happened, Maggie," Whiskey said.
"I still love Mom. She's our mom, and I won't judge you for being close to her. But I just can't be the cat that she wants me to be. I want to be like Caoimhe and go beyond the barn."
"W-Wait, what? You aren't leaving now, are you?" It was a panic that she never heard from Whiskey before. It scared her.
"Woah, woah, slow down, Whisk. I'm not leaving right now. We are barely even grown. As long as I have you, that's all I need to stay. You know that." Maggie hid her feelings behind her smile, though if it wasn't for her best friend, her brother, she would have hit the trails a long time ago.
Whiskey is so interested in that clan cat... Silversong. Good thing that love doesn't interest her in the same way.
She was going to prove to her mother that she was a better hunter than a mother, especially after the fish she would catch now that the ice was thawed. Maggie had another argument with Clara, but she decided not to vent to Whiskey about it. Before she realizes it, she sees a huge dark figure going down the river. What kind of big fish is this-
"Wait, fuck!" Maggie hears her brother turn towards her in her panic. "Oh, fu- Whiskey, there's a cat in the water." Despite her strength and size, it is hard for her to get this massive cat out of the river.
"Shit, he's alive?"
Summit, she calls him. He's large enough to be the size of a summit. The brown tom eventually joins Maggie and Whiskey at the barn, which is a breath of fresh-air in her mind (except Clara's annoying comments about Maggie trying her luck with him).
Maggie finds herself in a routine, the day-in and day-out of being a hunter. Not to mention, annoying Summit and Whiskey with her kit-like antics. Even some conversations with her mother are pleasant, despite the tension of the past still lingering in the shadows. But, Clara seems to understand that her daughter wants to be free.
"Are you still thinking of leaving?" The sound of her brother's voice behind her is startling, as she was gazing through a window at the sunset, with her large form dangling from the barn's supports.
"To leave you and Summit to be the only terrible influence on those three kits? Nah, I'll stick around for them. They need someone to teach them how to wrestle in the mud and sneak out after midnight."
Whiskey chuckles to her reply.
Summit finds out that he is Bearclaw, a warrior from RidgeClan that went missing around the time that Maggie found him in the river.
"This is Ashfang," Summit introduces everyone to his mate. A cat from PrairieClan, their allies. Now that Whiskey is talking to some cat named Raventhorn. Is she going to be alone now?
"Can you tell me more about your adventures?" Magnolia asks Caoimhe on a hunt together.
"You want to hear about my adventures? Or, do you want to know how to survive on your own so you can can have your own adventures?" Her aunt can always see right through her...
"Both," she replies.
"Well, let's start at the basics. Always be prepared." Caoimhe starts, as they continue to search for food.

Pre-Plotting: Magnolia fills the role of Cranberry in Summit's wanted ad. In the clanless plot roles, she most closely aligns with Temperance, which could be due to her closeness with one of the barn ambassadors, her brother. However, as time goes on, she leans toward the Lawless ideal, as her aspirations for adventure and a life beyond the barn causes her to desire more for her life.
Magnolia is against the ideals of Percy and the cabin sect.
Magnolia is pre-determined to have an interaction with Crowleap, where they will enter in a potential romance plot. Crowleap is up for adoption in Coyotepaw's wanted ad. She is stubborn and will try to convince him to run to the kingdom with her so they do not have to be forbidden
