thornstrike
Describe the character you're looking for in as many or little details as you'd like. You may find it useful to describe how this character may interact with your character(s). If this character has a predetermined name, make sure to include it. Similarly, include how flexible you are on the details that you do provide.
Thornstrike is Thistleroot's brother, littermate, and his first friend. He's a Prairieclan warrior, not a tunneler, and is the same age as Thistleroot. His gender is flexible, as is his name. His appearance is more fixed, he must be a gray cat who looks like Thistleroot.
Beyond that, most else is up to the adopter. His personality, goals, opinions on his brother, it's all flexible as long as it doesn't directly clash with Thistle's bio.
As kits the two were inseparable. They learned to play in ways that didn't leave Thistleroot at a disadvantage due to his blindness. For the first bit of their life they genuinely loved and care for each other as most siblings do. But there were always cracks in the foundation, caused by their parents.
Roseberry was overly concerned about Thistle's health. She kept him refused to let Thistle play with kits who weren't Thorn. She also was quick to reprimand Thorn for playing too roughly. While she eventually calmed down, her influence over how they played and bonded with each other and other kits laid some of the first cracks.
Optional: Roseberry didn't just ensure Thorn was gentle, she put some major responsibilities for Thistle's health on Thorn. Maybe it was insisting he keep an eye out always, or having to give up playtime with others to stay with his brother, or parentifying him in other ways.
Swiftstep was the one who furthered the cracks Roseberry built. When Thorn was still young, close to being apprenticed, he was pulled aside by his father. Swiftstep want on to tell Thornkit that he'd have to work twice as hard for his brother.
This was likely due in part from deeply misguided but genuine concern about Thistle's place in the clan, and from his own urge to have at least one child follow his footsteps. He wanted a legacy, and after disregarding Thistle as an option, Thorn was his only shot for this litter.
After that conversation the brothers drifted further and further apart. This gap became a chasm after Thistle became a tunneler apprentice, while Thorn became a warrior apprentice.
The two received their names moons apart, with Thornstrike likely graduating on time while Thistle stayed an apprentice for over a year. Thorn also proved himself in battle during the fight against Ridgeclan.
As for potential plots in the current time, I'd like for the brothers to either reconcile or spiral into an outright hostile relationship. The latter would likely be due to Thorn taking an anti-tunneler mindset. The former could be spurned on by any change or reason. Maybe Thorn has a family of his own and wants his kids to know their uncle. Maybe he's just tired of not knowing his brother. Up to the adopter.
If the rekindling route is picked, it'll likely take some time as Thistle is closed off, especially towards his family.
Also unofficially Roseberry, Swiftstep, and any other kits either might've had with each other or other mates are open for adoption. So is Cloverpatch, Thistle's mentor. She could also be replaced by an existing cat who matches the timeline.
