In their younger moons, Gingerfang and Meadowstorm didn't get along. Gingerfang thinks it's because they were too different - Meadowstorm was freer with the rules, less serious about everything, and seemed to struggle to commit to anything, at least until she had her son. Meadowstorm and Gingerfang were pregnant around the same time and raised their litters together. There, in the nursery, the two finally learned how to be sisters.

Meadowstorm is the mother of Morninglight. She never took any official mate - at least, not one in RidgeClan. If she had (or has) a partner, they're an outsider, or a warrior from another clan. Her relationship with the cat that sired Morninglight was purely physical.

All aspects of this character, except her age and the connections to Gingerfang and Morninglight described above, are flexible. This includes her name, appearance, gender, personalty, etc. 

Sagestep has been a friend of Gingerfang's since they were apprentices. When they were young, they were mostly just friends because they trained as guardians together. As they got older, their friendship grew because of real affection between them. Gingerfang introduced Sagestep to Lionheart, her brother, and the two were lifelong mates until Lionheart died in the war against MistClan. Now, Sagestep is like a brother to Gingerfang, and her closest friend still alive.

Together, Sagestep and Lionheart had two litters, each with two kits in them (though this is flexible - the litters could be larger, if needed). Either Sagestep or Lionheart must be a trans tom who birthed the litter, the decision is up to whoever adopts Sagestep. Their oldest kit, Berryfur, also died in the attack against MistClan.

The details of this character are very flexible. His connection to Gingerfang (and Lionheart) must be as described above and he must remain a tom. Everything else (name, appearance, personality, etc.) is up to the adopter.

Gingerfang's parents had a second litter just a few moons after Gingerfang was born. Dawnfeather was the oldest in that litter. They were more like Meadowstorm - free-spirited, a little neglectful of the rules. But they adored Gingerfang, and so the two got along well. As a young warrior, Dawnfeather took a mate, Petalbelly, who died giving birth to their litter. Afterwards, Gingerfang helped them raise their children as a very involved aunt.

Dawnfeather must remain a non-binary cat with the ability to sire children (AMAB). Of their litter with Petalbelly, their son, Deerclaw, died in the attack on MistClan. Deerclaw's mate, Frostblossom, died as well. Dawnfeather is a grand-cat, with their oldest daughter Mossfoot having two litters.

All details about Dawnfeather, other than what's listed above, are flexible, including whether or not they took another mate/had more children. This includes their name.

Gingerfang's parents had a second litter just a few moons after Gingerfang was born. Slatestripe was the youngest in that litter. He took more after Gingerfang, and thus sometimes he and Gingerfang struggled (and could still struggle) to connect, as they're both too serious for their own good. Slatestripe has a mate, Starlingwing, with whom he's fathered at least one litter.

All details about Slatestripe, except for what's listed above, are flexible. He and his mate could have their litter(s) together or employ a surrogate. 

Mottledfur is Gingerfang's firstborn and the opposite of her mother in nearly every way. She's surprisingly small for the family, with dainty paws and a petite frame. She's kind and sweet - tooth achingly so, some might say. She's not shy, but she's definitely quieter than her spirited mother. Despite their differences, Mottledfur and Gingerfang get along incredibly well.

Currently, Mottledfur serves as a perma-queen in RidgeClan. She's had two litters with her mate and is considering a third before she retires. The exact details of her mate and litters are up to the adopters. She must remain a she-cat with the ability to birth kits. She is imagined as a calico, but her name and appearance are completely flexible.

Her older litter should be between 28-42 moons and her younger litter between 12-22 moons.

Like Mottledfur, Tawnystripe is more reserved than her mother, though her quiet nature comes from anxiety she's managed all her life. Because of this anxiety, she and Gingerfang have struggled to connect more than Gingerfang and Mottledfur did. She has a gentle disposition, even to outsiders, and rejected Wolfstar's leadership, as well as RidgeClan's extreme opposition to outsiders. To Tawnystripe, the successes of her offspring are her successes, making up for deficits in her own skills.

Tawnystripe has a mate, Appleheart, with whom she's had at least two litters. Her first litter is 39 moons and consists of Rowanheart, Rosewhisker, Redstrike, and Russetpaw, who drowned as an apprentice. Her second litter is 25 moons old and consists of Lilyflight and siblings. If she has a third litter, they are likely kits or apprentices currently.

Other than what's listed above, Tawnystripe's (and thus Appleheart's) details are flexible, including names (except for those of played characters). She must remain a she-cat able to birth kits.

Firepelt is Gingerfang's only son. Like his mother, he is serious, though lacks Gingerfang's more fiery attitude. Instead, Firepelt is thoughtful and introspective. He can be stern, but it always comes from a place of love. He and Gingerfang have a good relationship, with Firepelt being a doting son in his mother's old age.

Firepelt is the father of Foxflight, Weaselsong, and Rabbitfern (up for adoption). His mate is Shrewthorn. Firepelt and Shrewthorn both should remain toms, with Shrewthorn being the trans tom who gave birth. Firepelt's name is flexible, as is his appearance and personality other than what's listed above. However, he should be some sort of orange cat.

Like Gingerfang, Embershade viewed motherhood as a way to support her clan, rather than something she craved. Unlike Gingerfang, having a litter did not unlock a maternal urge in her. She returned to the warrior den as soon as she could to resume serving as a warrior alongside her mate, Cinderstrike. Because of her disregard for her kits, Embershade and Gingerfang are not on good terms, despite Gingerfang having a bit of favoritism toward her when she was young.

Embershade is Rainstorm's mother. Please consult with Shy on details for this character if you're interested in adopting her! She should be a tortoiseshell she-cat able to have kits. Her name is not flexible unless Shy gives the okay.

Hare-'s father, Oakfrost, died in Wolfstar's attack on MistClan, and their mother, Sandflower, died in labor just a few days later. They were nursed by queens in the nursery, with Gingerfang standing in as their mother figure, though she was honest with them about what happened with their parents once they were old enough to understand. Hare- likely calls Gingerfang "mom," or at least thinks of her as such.

All details about this cat are open besides their age. They are either an older apprentice, a freshly named warrior, or an apprentice beginning their guardian training.

Peony-'s father, Oakfrost, died in Wolfstar's attack on MistClan, and their mother, Sandflower, died in labor just a few days later. They were nursed by queens in the nursery, with Gingerfang standing in as their mother figure, though she was honest with them about what happened with their parents once they were old enough to understand. Peony- refuses to think of Gingerfang as anything other than second best compared to their mother, who they never got to meet.
