Summit, posthumously known as Bearclaw by those in RidgeClan, is a healer living in the barn. 14 moons ago, Summit was dragged from the river by another barn cat and taken to the barn to recover. There, he forged a new life, made easier by the fact that he doesn't remember his old one. Summit has near-complete amnesia and thus is perfectly content to live his days quietly in the barn, unaware of the sorrow his presumed death left behind.
Summit's bio is split into two: one for his time as Bearpaw/claw and one for his time in the barn. Most of the characters in this wanted ad are attachments in the barn, so you don't need to be super familiar with Bearpaw/claw to plot with Summit! Eventually, Summit will regain enough (or all) of his memories to know about his former life, and have to make the decision on what to do from there.

CRANBERRY | 30 Moons, reserved The perfect balance of gruff and jovial, Cranberry is the sort of cat you want to have by your side when things are difficult. She'll pick you up with a cheerful word and keep you humble with a friendly jab all in the same breath. She's loud and friendly and has never once known what it means to be shy. In short, she's the perfect companion for Summit, a cat who needs someone in his life who knows what's going on. Cranberry is a hunter for the barn. She was born there to a large family that's lived in the barn for ages, though she has less attachment to the barn than some of her family members, mostly born out of a desire to explore new things. Cranberry was the cat who pulled Summit out of the river and gave him a new name. No matter where they go in the future, she and Summit will always be best friends. Cranberry's name and appearance are flexible, but she should remain a she-cat (she/her or she/they pronouns) and she must be the same age as Whiskey. My only request for her appearance be that she's a large and muscular cat. She was 16 moons when she pulled Summit from the river. As a note, Cranberry has a planned romance with Crowleap from Coyotepaw's wanted ad. If neither of these characters are adopted, this romance will still occur with them as NPCs. |
WHISKEY | taken While his sister is balanced in her nature, Whiskey leans too hard into his grumpiness. He's a perfectly friendly cat to be around, he just has a short temper, and often goes looking for reasons to be snippy with others. What he lacks in sweetness he makes up for in charm and wit, knowing exactly when to drop a compliment to be forgiven for the harsh things he said. Unlike Cranberry, Whiskey has a fierce attachment to the barn, and would never consider leaving. This attachment will be challenged when he meats Raventhorn from Coyotepaw's wanted ad. Whiskey's name and appearance are flexible, except he should be slender and narrow, especially compared to his sister. He should be a tom and use he/him or he/they pronouns. The rest of his details are up to the adopter. |
PARTRIDGE | 50+ Moons, reserved Partridge was the first cat Summit met when he came to the barn besides Cranberry and her family. They got along immediately, with Partridge being accepting enough to work with a strange outsider, and Summit desperately seeking guidance from an older cat. Most cats would call Partridge sweet and parental, but those who know them know they're often exhausted and exasperated with their work, especially being one of the few healers outside of the clans. For the most part, Partridge is a really flexible character! Their name, appearance, gender, and backstory is completely up to you, and their personality just has to match this blurb here. I imagine they got healer training later in life and thus aren't as familiar as a life-long medicine cat or healer might be with herbs, but that's up to the adopter. |
PERCY | taken Persimmon, who goes by Percy to most, is a spitfire of a cat. Born to be a revolutionary, Percy wants to see change and change wants to have her. She's fiercely dedicated to her cause and could never be persuaded away from it, even if it means her death. She and Summit are on friendly terms, so long as she doesn't annoy him by talking about how much she dislikes the clans. For whatever reason, Percy has a deep hatred of clan cats. She's always sought to dismantle the clans, or at least weaken them, and so when Foxglove came with his anti-clan rhetoric, she was one of the first to get on board. In the future, when she learns of Summit's clan heritage, she and Summit may find themselves on opposite sides of a conflict. Persimmon should be around 30 moons and have spent at least the last 14 moons in the barn. Her name, appearance, gender, and personality outside of what's outline here are completely up to the adopter. |
BALSAM | taken Balsam is the spunkiest and most extroverted of her litter. She has natural leadership qualities, but would rather learn to be a healer like her father, Summit. Overtime, this may change. The trajectory of this character is very flexible, but more than likely, she will go wherever Summit goes. Balsam's name, gender, and how her personality develops are up to the adopter, but please keep her appearance similar to Summit's. She should be some kind of brown tabby. If going with a different name, it should match her appearance, like clan kits. |
FLICKER | taken Flicker is the smartest of her litter, always coming up with a new idea or clever thing to say. She's not difficult, though - her ideas always fall within a safe realm for young kits to explore. She's the sort of curious that adults love to see in young kits, and this curiosity is likely to one day take her away from the barn. The trajectory of this character is very flexible, but most likely she'll take after her aunt Cranberry and want to explore. Flicker's name, gender, and how her personality develops are up to the adopter. Please have her name match her appearance, like clan kits. |
SNOWFLAKE | 6 Moons, reserved Snowflake is reserved, quiet, and sickly. He's the runt of the litter, and unfortunately that's made it difficult for him in his four short moons. He stays close to Summit, knowing his father will keep him safe and healthy. The trajectory of this character is very flexible, but most likely he'll stay with Summit, unwilling to lose another parent. Snowflake's name, gender, and how his personality develops are up to the adopter. Please have his name match his appearance, like clan kits. |
OTHER BARN CATS | Any Age As one of the healers in the barn, Summit has met plenty of faces since coming to his new home. Most of them he's on friendly terms with, but nearly drowning did not rid him of his surliness, and there may be a few cats he's angered. He's also opposed to the cats who talk about fighting the clans, and he's especially disapproving of Foxglove, someone he sees as up to no good. This is just a general call for cats Summit has a closer relationship with! His closest friends will likely be barn cats interested in preserving the peace and maintaining the sanctity of the barn. |
BRINDLEHAWK | 36 Moons From the moment Sootwhisker made it clear he wanted Bearkit as an apprentice, Brindlekit's parents all but forgot about them. Their successes were not celebrated. Their failures were not criticized. They were just... nothing, at least in the eyes of their parents. So Brindlehawk pulled away, and even today as an adult, refuses to associate with the family that forgot them. Except for Bearclaw. Periodically throughout their lives, Brindlehawk tried to reconnect with their brother, only succeeding when Bearclaw stepped away from his medicine cat role. The two were on fragile, but positive, terms when Bearclaw died. Missing the change to really repair their sibling relationship is something that will always haunt Brindlehawk. In the future, Brindlehawk and Summit will be reunited. Brindlehawk's name, appearance, and gender are up to the adopter. They should be a warrior or guardian renowned for their hawk hunting. Some suggestions if you can't use the -hawk suffix are: -leap, -wing, -fang, or -fall. They must be the same age as Bearclaw and their personality/history must match what's outlined in Bearclaw's bio. |
