description
0 - 5 moons: Both Redkit and her sister, Rosekit, wanted for nothing from the time they were born. She deeply enjoyed the time she spent with her mother and older brothers, feeling as though there was nothing in the world that could ruin their perfect family. As Redkit got older, she felt it hard to understand her feelings for her deceased father, Redthorn. Though she'd never known him, she felt an odd pressure to live up to the warrior he had been. As if a strange weight had been placed upon her shoulders when Littlestar named her. She tried her hardest to please her mother and brothers, maturing a bit quicker than normal in the process. Rosekit, on the other hand, seemed to be suffocating from the attention and wanted to break free. Although she couldn't understand it, Redkit was there for her sister and fought to make her family understand her perspective if her littermate got in trouble. The softness her relatives felt for the sweet kit seemed to aid in settling arguments.
There was a moment when Redkit felt a twinge of jealousy at the relationship Rosekit was developing with Sorrelkit, wondering if the other cat would replace her. But Rosekit always reminded her time and time again through her actions that the bond the sisters shared was irreplaceable. She learned during this time not to take things so personally.
6 - 12 moons: While Rosepaw was too preoccupied with Sorrelpaw to care much about the battle, Redpaw felt especially concerned with what was happening. She watched her mother intently during this time, a little red observer ever present at the she-cat's side. The similarities she and her mother shared would become clearer during this time, as Littlestar was able to heard about how she was feeling personally on what was happening. Her respect and admiration for Littlestar would swell as she didn't hesitate to assist MistClan during its time of need. Redpaw wondered if she could ever be suited for leadership.
Noticing Rosepaw and Sorrelpaw's closeness, Redpaw felt concerned for her sister's wellbeing. While she disagreed with her older brothers' method of communicating this to Rosepaw, she understood their perspective. At the same time, Redpaw wasn't her sister's keeper and didn't want to manipulate her in one way or the other about her life. "Please just be careful." She would tell her littermate when she got the opportunity.
She felt the distance between she and Rosepaw allowed her to get to know herself a bit better, becoming more tightly-knit with the community within PrairieClan. She felt happy to help others and serve under her mother. Many older cats commended her maturity and kindness. When Rosepaw shared that she and Sorrelpaw were abandoning clan life and leaving together, she felt disappointed. Why couldn't Rosepaw see that this was the wrong choice? Still, she bid her sister farewell and good luck, not showing anything but love for the other apprentice. "Don't worry, they'll be fine." she reassured her sister about her family as they touched noses. Redpaw did her best to soothe her angry brothers in her wake, explaining to them that Rosepaw wouldn't be gone forever. Though unconvinced, their anger seemed to lessen.
Feeling truly alone for the first time, Redpaw continued to train as hard as she could and to be present with the clan. Although she was still quite young, she felt a sort of motherly love for her clanmates, taking great pleasure in helping them and hearing their stories. She made sure to be there for her mother, who was undoubtedly broken-hearted by Rosepaw's absence. She became a sort of calm in the storm for her family, using her gentleness to reason with her brothers and even other clanmates who got into fights. Not many cats had it in them to spit in Redpaw's face.
When Rosepaw returned alone, Redpaw felt a mixture of emotions. She, of course, bathed her sister in licks and fussed over her injured and hungry state. She stayed at her side, sending her most fiercesome looks at any cats who dared to disrespect her sister. Rosepaw vowed her loyalty to her clan, and that was all Redpaw needed to hear. She learned bits and pieces of information regarding Sorrelpaw's fate but refused to push Rosepaw to share in any way. Certaintly, her sister was changed by what had happened, but what could they expect? She took Rosepaw's new bitterness in stride as if she'd always been that way, with unwavering patience and love. Secretly, she was glad that Sorrelpaw was gone - though she kicked herself for this.
12 moons - Present: When Redberry earned her warrior name, she felt proud of herself for her accomplishments. With maturity, she recognized that now she could begin a life of her own, knowing that Rosethorn could take care of herself. Currently, she is trying to put herself out there more to make meaningful connections with others without worrying too much about Rosethorn or her mother. She feels more confident in who she is and what she is capable of as a warrior.
personality
Redberry has a soft regality about her. She carries herself with confidence and elegance, never known to be impolite or neglect her manners. For some, speaking to the russet molly may be intimidating, but her undeniable kindness tends to make others more comfortable. Her genuine positivity is something she is known for beyond her clan, showing respect to rogues and clan cats alike. Since kithood, Redberry has taken great pleasure in socializing with her community. She believes every cat is worthy of respect and loyalty and has developed an almost maternal love for each of them. Despite her soft femininity, Redberry is a hands-on type of person, willing to do any hard work that will help the clan. She wouldn't hesitate to die for her clan or any one of her family members.
Growing up as the oldest sibling in her litter and the bearer of her father's name, Redberry felt a sense of duty to be bigger than she was. The soft spot her family has for her allowed her to act as the mediator during disagreements, as nobody wanted to hiss at Redberry. This caused her to quickly mature and develop a wisdom beyond her years - one that even her older brothers could respect. On the other side of the coin, Redberry is a perfectionist and hates making mistakes. She can become quite anxious in situations where she doesn't know what to do, feeling helpless. This is why she tends to hide her true feelings about many things.
The calm in the storm for her is her sister, Rosethorn. Like her twin flame, Redberry is attached to her sister like no other. For the entirety of their lives, they had been closer than most cats. Redberry loves Rosethorn more than anyone and considers her her very best friend, the one even she can lean on for support at times. Redberry is confident that nothing could break their bond, that she would love Rosethorn no matter what she did.

Family: Redberry has a tendency to put her family before herself, especially her sister. She cares about them deeply and would die for any of them. She often acts as a mediator between her hot-headed siblings, branding herself as a classic older sibling albeit much younger than her brothers. She has extreme respect for Littlestar and they are very close. Rosethorn is her closest friend, however, and she feels a sense of loyalty to her that the others don't quite match.
Friends: Redberry is an incredibly warm and friendly individual. Throughout her life she has made friends with cats old and young. She would get along best with kind and open-minded cats who are passionate about their clan.
Romance: With the pressure she puts on herself to be the perfect daughter and sister, Redberry hasn't thought much about romance. Now that she's a bit older and settled into her warrior rank, she is open to meeting others in that way.
Rivals: Redberry is a strong individual towards those outside of her family and clan. Should a cat disrespect them, she would be willing to fight tooth and claw to defend them.
