appearance
A small black-silver classic tabby with white she-cat with amber eyes.
Coyotepaw was taken into RidgeClan as a rather small but gaunt abandoned kit. She is not very elegant, having suffered a lot from hunger and the elements prior to being found. Under her long black coat she truly lacks any discernible body fat and is easily perceived as weak. Her markings are smoky stripes of primary black mixing with silver. The white hourglass marking sitting above her black nose is perhaps one of the more notable features she has.
Her eyes are dark brown like pebbles found fighting the current of the river. The similar cream white on her nose can also be found on her chest and outlining her eyes. They give her a slight doe-eyed expression that clashes with her mostly gender-ambiguous face and body. Overall, she especially rejects her stunted and dainty size more than she usually does around Antlerpaw or Bearpaw. Coyotepaw has reckless dreams to overwrite some of her appearance through earning scars and training to be a skilled fighter who is quick on their feet.

description
Alone, I starved. But together? We feast!
History:[ 0 MOONS ]
Hunger. A newborn stomach twisting into knots demanding to be sustained. Gurgling air and attempts at swallowing often. One of her first physical sensations was that of a dry mouth. Such an unwelcoming start to be shaking in her famine. Eventually she ate, not knowing the rationale behind the delay in her being allowed to feed. The next few days she repeatedly experienced that cycle. And those days are blurry, awful reminders of why she should be scared of hunger.
A half moon passed, meaning she could see her mother—although not frequent enough. Her mother talked to her sometimes when she was around. Jett—she believes is the name her mother used for her, it was her rouge name. Coyotepaw is unsure how tangible this memory truly is, as her ability to recall is marred by the fear of those hungry, mewling days.
She was still short of being alive for one moon the day her mother scooped her up and left the place she had been born. Taking the journey up the stream to clan cat territory.
And then she felt herself dropped, hitting the ground for the first time in a way that was not a kind gesture. As her mother was sprinting away, she watched for a while lifelessly before her eyes wetted. It was going to be a painful starvation or she would be prey, she was too young to give chase to anything.
Pawsteps teetered and tottered as she passed through blades of grass that were of the same height. It wasn’t too long before she accepted that it was starting once again—she was starving. It was a carnal instinct to struggle against the odds in a land unfamiliar to her, not that anywhere really had felt familiar yet.
The tiny kit walked what it could, made what noise it had in it. She was tired and tripping most of the distance she made. And she got lucky when one of her cries struck Azaleaflower’s ears. As her cries grew weaker and eyes lusterless she was approached and asked her name, where her mother was, and so on. Yet, all Jett could think about was hunger, how she ended up so alone with no proving ground or home to grow in - left to be found or die.
[ 1 MOONS ]
Jett never gave out her name, she threw it away, the less rouge history she had the better. Not that there ever was much to her thin life until she got her first proper meal alongside other kits of the RidgeClan nursery. Despite initial appearances comparable to a ragged starveling, what remained of her was stronger. Azaleaflower gives her the name Coyotekit, a name befitting a clanborn kit. Coyotekit accepts this name, pretending it to be her first name. Her only name.
Rouge-born but clan-raised.
[ 2 MOONS ]
Her luck finally shows as Coyotekit grows bigger, she makes friends with other kits in truly uneventful manners. All too young to even understand there was some prejudice to be had about her inferior origins. She must have been unwanted by her mother, one more mouth that the queen couldn’t afford to feed. A feeling she’s learned to put into words only deep within her own consciousness, she does not talk about how much she remembers to anyone. Not even to Azaleaflower, her new mother.
[ 3 - 5 MOONS ]
With fellow kitten buddies secured, Coyotekit comes out of her shell as she starts to learn about all she can about RidgeClan – her new home. A rambunctious spirit now, it’s hard to even tell she was once an abandoned starving half-dead rouge kit. She is very fascinated by stories of clan-cat hardships because in her eyes working together seems to ensure a greater quality of life. Coyotekit has no remorse for the struggles of outsider life – they lack order and organization. Two aspects she sees in RidgeClan, in all her clanmates, as they carry out their roles in helping group-survival.
[ 6 MOONS - PRESENT ]
Coyotepaw is a diligent, hard-working apprentice who currently resides under the teachings of Laurelfern. It is true what her mentor speaks of - RidgeClan has too many cracks, the group, the mindset is corrupted and is at risk to soon crumbled. Other than secret plans with her mentor to leave their clan to rot to their own ideas of religious superiority, Coyotepaw is usually acting a part of Antlerpaw’s small gang of punk apprentices.

relations
Pre-Plotting:
Coyotepaw is pre-plotted to raise hell with her friends and will back them up regardless of how obnoxious they get. She follows her bigger friends as they find victims to bully and push around. Despite her origins she has still found a place among them, and is even protected by the bigger apprentices. Occasionally she finds herself under scrutiny when the group of punks find themselves bored. However, Coyotepaw will ultimately be leaving RidgeClan with Laurelfern on her mission to establish The Kingdom.
Plot Role: Galaxy Plot View: Pluto-leaning [RidgeClan’s Plot Ad]
Having being once an abandoned rogue kit where being alone had her starving, fainting, and on the brink of death Coyotepaw wants nothing more than to help her mentor form an ideal group. Internally, she almost operates seemingly for a hivemind that has to exist yet, daydreams almost of utopia, but she is still a young mind with lots to learn about the world from Laurelfern. Due to her being once clanless, this is an ideal route for Coyotepaw to take on as she will never be a part of RidgeClan's deeply rooted devoutness to StarClan.
Family:
Coyotepaw has no blood-relatives in RidgeClan but was found by Azaleaflower within the clan’s territory. She became her adopted mother and took care of helping the only half-weaned kit transition to solid food. Coyotepaw’s relationship with Azaleaflower is out of sheer respect and gratitude that she gives to the older warrior from taking her away from death’s doorstep.
Friends:
Coyotepaw’s friends all have sour moods in their own way, but together they are a lot of fun. They are her sense of family and she will sometimes refer to them as a bunch of boys, while acting quiet boyish herself because she doesn’t want to be a victim of their pranks or rumors.
Romance:
Future romance is possible, although it sounds like a confusing bundle of emotions for Coyotepaw. She certainly wouldn’t know how to act around someone she has a crush on or if they have a crush on her. However, she wouldn’t be opposed to a romantic companion in the future if one presented itself.
Rivals:
Anyone who tries to pick a fight or be rude about her not being clan-blooded that isn’t her friends is considered a rival to her. Coyotepaw wants to become a full-fledged clan cat, with dreams even to potentially become a guardian. As far as she sees it, Coyotepaw knows she will achieve the status of a full fledged warrior one day and anyone who disagrees is not someone she wishes to associate herself with.
