A few had made their homes in his forest, claimed new lives among his clanmates. They were now his clan, his duty. But there was always risk in letting strangers join. Hailstar let in any who swore allegiance to Mistclan, but he kept an eye on them. Duskfang was no different. While her brother, Dawnclaw, had already proved his loyalty time and time again, that provided the she-cat no extra good will as far as he was concerned. He was determined to watch and judge her based on her own merit. That said, so far the she-cat had not caused any trouble. Had not shown any obvious signs of disloyalty. She was impressive, clearly. As was her brother. All signs pointed to another asset for him clan. How foolish Ridgeclan had been, to lose both siblings. Hailstar watched from his nest in the Sky Tree, searching for her particular gray pelt. Distant observance would only go so far. He needed to talk to her, find out what sort of cat she was. And if she needed any help adjusting to her new life. Trees could be tricky things, and the forests were often flooded with mist that could be hard to navigate. Once he spotted her, Hailstar made his descent. He wove through his camp and clanmates, keeping his gaze fixed on his goal. Once he was close he spoke, voice low but calm. " Greetings." He sat down, wrapping his paws with his tail. " I hope I have not disturbed you. I simply wish to know how you have been adjusting to your new life. Do you have any questions or concerns?"
