pikekit was born with her two sisters, dovekit and leafkit, to two toms named timberstrike and fireflight. being cisgender toms, they turned to a she-cat named fallingfoot to be a surrogate for their children. 

from the start, pikekit and dusk-kit were the best of friends, even with dusk-kit's father, sunstorm, not approving of their friendship.

eventually, they were joined by a younger she-cat named lilyfall, and they all three were close. but not as close as pikeshine and duskfang. dusk would often shut down any rumors in the clans that they were lovers, even if pike hoped that maybe someday it could be true.

they remained close thoughout their life, even with pikeshine seeing the flaws of sunstorm's ideology. he was too obsessed about the family line, about being the best warriors of the clan, and pikeshine could see how it was destroying duskfang mentally to live up to her father's standards.

but then the war.

after losing those that she loved, she couldn't bare the thought of being in ridgeclan. it hurt her to leave duskfang behind, but she would come back for her.

but as she watched her friend from the border, and saw how much her father strangled her after dawnclaw left, she knew that she had to rescue her best friend from the clan that duskfang hated.

and she knew that she would.


pikeshine is the best friend of duskfang. she will play a key part on whether duskfang decides to stay in ridgeclan or not. currently, she is written as a loner that deserted ridgeclan, but she is open to be in other places as well (mistclan, prairieclan, loner, or the future kingdom (riverwalkers). 

her history is pretty open, but should match any correlations that she would have with duskfang in her history.

it's also up to the adopter how they would like to label the family of Pikeshine [alive, missing, deceased, etc] or if they would like to adopt any or all the characters out.

pikeshine is welcome to have been a warrior or a guardian in ridgeclan before her departure.
