Affiliated Factions: - The Barn Cats: (Excellent) || Constantine, while not a member of the Barn cats themselves, is respected as a healer within their community. He's known as a little strange, but helpful and word has spread around the barn that he is the cat to see regarding any illness or injury.

FORTES & FLAWS
Skills: - Medicine: One of Constantine's greatest strengths is his knowledge of medicine. He's been taught a variety of techniques and is familiar with many herbs not native to the land of Whitewater. Most of his knowledge was taught to him by the band of nomadic healers he once traveled with. Some of those cats learned from familial traditions and others from observing their former house-folk's herbal remedies. He also has a large vocabulary when it comes to two-leg terms for their injurious contraptions like: hunting snares, traps and barbed wire that other less well-traveled cats may not know.
- Anatomy: Going hand in hand with his medicinal and medical knowledge, Constantine is very familiar with the inside of the feline body. He's performed several necropsies on felines and smaller prey animals to try and ascertain their cause of death - if it is not immediately obvious - and simply to learn different organs and body systems and how they differ between species. It was a common occurrence within his band, and while he does not think it strange, more spiritual cats may think him heretical and others morbid.
- Body Language: Constantine relies heavily on the body language of other cats to give him social cues on how to behave in any one situation if he is unfamiliar with it. It has been this way from his kithood. As such, he's become a master of the language of silent communication and can quickly tell the inner emotions of even the most stoic cat, if he can observe them long enough. But he still gets anxious around cats equally phlegmatic as himself until he can garner enough information for a baseline - which may take more time than he is allotted.
Weaknesses: - Social Norms: As cosmopolitan as his world view may seem, that is merely a surface level observational stance. He is open to gaining knowledge from many different places with an uncritical opinion. But he is often incapable of ascertaining or fully understanding some social conventions of different communities, and will surely offend someone one way or another - until not only is he corrected, but explained and walked through why it is offensive and thus what the "correct" behavior would be. Especially concerning more nuanced subjects like religious beliefs, territorial marking and solving some, what he sees as minor, problems with violence - things commonplace within the clan culture.
- Small Talk: When it comes to chit-chat Constantine is a terrible conversational partner. He might make more charismatic and friendly cats question his motives as he can seem stand-offish and rude without seeming to be. Often scolded as a kit for talking without being spoken to, he is usually not the one to start a conversation, nor be good at holding one. He is much more comfortable listening, in most situations.
- Combat: While both not a pacifist, and not charming enough to be a diplomat - Constantine dislikes violence and the use of force or threat of force to solve conflicts. Sadly he is used to hostile encounters. It is not hard to convince him that he is the offending party, and he will often try to engage the other in dialogue to resolve the issue. If talking does not yield a satisfactory result, he will generally leave the area if he is allowed to. If absolutely forced to fight to protect himself or others from grave bodily harm, he will use lethal force if pressed into doing so, but will often flee the altercation before it gets to that point if he is able. He is not trained in combat, nor is he skilled at it or terribly strong, but using his anatomical knowledge of the frailties of the feline body, he can prove to be an unsuspecting threat if attacked first.
Character Flaws: - Awkward: It is clear to 99% of everyone that holds a conversation with him that there is just something off about Constantine. He is strange, ridgid, almost a foreigner in his own skin at first glance. It is hard to pinpoint exactly what it is many cats see as odd about him, opinions vary, but the general consensus is that he is peculiar and some felines judge him solely for that trait and treat him with prejudice.
- Humorless: Constantine is quite literal. Common jokes go over his head at times. On a good day he might be able to understand that the phrase is made in jest or sarcasm but just not understand why it is so amusing to his company. Most of his small chuffs of laughter are made to soothe the ego of or mirror his company, rather than an expression of his own mirth. It is very rare Constantine will make jokes on his own, usually if he only greatly enjoys the cat's company and seeks to mirror them to make them feel more comfortable in what he's deemed their favored mode of dialogue. Oftentimes those jokes can still fall flat, and are more him trying out sarcasm than actual creative humor.
- Tactless: With his weakness in social etiquette, Constantine can seem quite tactless and down right rude to some. Sometimes he gets so enamored with a certain subject that he will continue to ask questions that many others might deem as inappropriate. He is bad at sensing unseen conversational boundaries. He will stop if asked to, but not understand why he may have upset them. This makes him very self-conscious around others, and not quick to speak. And should he upset a cat he's come to enjoy talking to, he will be extremely upset with himself and convinced they probably no longer wish to interact with him.
VIEWS, METHODOLOGY & PSYCHOLOGY
Views on Religion & Starclan: - Agnostic (Inclusive): Constantine does not believe nor think it truly possible to know the secrets of the universe beyond living creatures' existence and experiences. He believes there may or may not be life after death, but in death the individual ceases to retain any bond to their body. He views Starclan and ancestor worship with curiosity. He enjoys hearing what different cats believe and in his uncertainty - he can not prove one belief right or wrong. He is very accepting of all viewpoints, but is wary of zealotry and cats who push their beliefs on uninterested parties.
Habits: - Situational Analysis: Without fail, everytime Constantine walks into a new environment he is always hyper alert to his surroundings. He frequently positions himself against solid surfaces where he can not be snuck up on from the side - due only in part, but exacerbated by, his partial blindness. If indoors or surrounded he notes every possible escape route and sticks as close to it as possible.
Vices: Troubles: - Anxiety (Social): While it may not be readily apparent, when around unfamiliar cats, or even many familiar cats at once, Constantine has a constant current of anxiety raging through him. He fears being a bother or burden for anyone to entertain so he often removes himself from highly social settings entirely.
- Self Worth: Constantine has no self-respect for himself and often fails to treat himself with the same kindness and forgiveness he treats his patients and friends with. He internalizes insults and can demonize himself if he is not prudent enough to pay attention to his wandering thoughts.
