appearance
Regarding him as criminally handsome is an understatement when it comes to any set of eyes that gaze upon Cloudwhisker. They are correct when they say he tends to sort of just float in with light, confident paw steps. He is fit and muscular but most of his size is due to his plush pelt that flows out in all directions. Cloudwhisker stands average to slightly above-average in height but doesn’t make much of it. As it seems to run in his family, making it no surprise.
Sharp ovular angles make up his face that contains light-gray tabby marks. On top of his head lies two tall, gray triangular ears with thin furs protruding from the tips. As for other markings, his tail consists of the same gray coloration found on his face. As well as, gray undertones are found on his front legs just above his white paws.
With all white cats being uncommon in RidgeClan, Cloudwhisker’s eyes hold an electric shade of blue to further emphasize how exotic his attractiveness is. He is traditionally vigorous like most of his clanmates and boasts a double coat meant to withstand the cold mountain’s serrated gusts. Cloudwhisker’s final notable trait is that his whiskers are quite long and they are numerous, adding to his allure.

description
Cloudkit and Streamkit were born and grew up uneventfully in RidgeClan. They become apprentices when a storm leaves Hazesong, their father, and Streampaw sick. Neither survive and make it to see newleaf, leaving Cloudpaw as all his mother has left. Cranethroat dedicates all of herself to keeping him happy and setting him on a great path to become a warrior.
Birchgaze was a well known and respected guardian in the clan and was surprised to see Cloudpaw take to his training so naturally. He becomes both well-versed in how to protect hunting parties, growing extremely fond of the rush he gets from watching over them for their safety. As he matures into an older apprentice, he’s quite confident that he can protect groups of his peers without assistance. Many she-cats in the apprentice den grow to find him extremely charming and take him up on his promise that he can protect them while they practice hunting without their mentor’s present.
This leads to many unsupervised trips of a few apprentices to the ridges with Cloudpaw patrolling and smiling at them from above the cliffs. He earned the attention of both apprentices his age and younger, making him highly talked about to his mother’s joy.
As Cloudpaw reaches the ending of his training his nihilistic nature starts to really sharpen his actions. StarClan doesn’t hold much meaning to him and their humble teachings do not seem life fulfilling. He turns to value his flirty and boastful side, and yearning looks from his female peers are more excitatory than their ancestors in the stars.
One day, as the late afternoon turns to the first phase of evening, he is approached by three apprentices wanting to go out and hunt by themselves by sneaking off to the mountains of the north. He oversees the three as Gracklepaw, Shinepaw, and Hazelpaw begin their attempts to track prey. It’s all going smoothly until Cloudpaw notices an eagle perching, scanning the sparse trees below them both. He stands perfectly still as he watches the eagle’s eyes locking on Shinepaw. When the bird starts to swoop down, Cloudpaw launches himself at the bird and dives upon it. Tumbling with the bird down a few rocky edges and landing just short of Shinepaw. To his surprise, the bird didn’t die already from impact or shock and continued to struggle despite clearly breaking one of it’s wings.
Cloudpaw scrambles to back off from it’s last-ditch-efforts to slash him with it’s talons as it flutters to fly. He smugly smiles at the bird from what felt to him like a painless fall before telling Shinepaw to round up Gracklepaw and Hazelpaw. The group of four apprentices work to tire before killing the already bleeding and crippled large bird together.
They take it as a sign to head back, and only then does Cloudpaw feel an ache in his paw as he favors it into camp. He glances at the coy Shinepaw with satisfaction as she nervously looks at him, putting their eagle on the fresh-kill pile for all to see. He suffers a mild sprain just above one of his front paws from slamming the eagle into the ground with his falling body weight. It is later revealed that even Lilacstrike took a liking to the young tom and invested in teaching him how she takes down birds bigger than her such as eagles.
It is believed that once Cloudpaw got the hang of Birchgaze’s teachings he then charmed his way into private training sessions with numerous warriors with expertise in varying areas of expertise. Seeming to only add to his attractiveness, chalked up to mysterious ambition that a few find intimidating. After his warrior ceremony following a quarter moon recovering from the sprain, he takes on his new name as Cloudwhisker.
Shortly after his ceremony there are concerns and worry among aging guardians that Cloudwhisker will not take after them in their duties since he seems also amazing at —well everything. To which he charismatically reassures them that he enjoys being a guardian and protecting hunters. This notion leads to him almost being universally admired and even as a young guardian many groups trust him to roam the cliffs alone without a fellow guardian, protecting them from above. Sometime amidst dealing with being so well-known in the clan yet so young he takes interest in Pigeonpaw.
He felt refreshed by her sour attitude and began to enjoy teasing or flirting with her more than duty itself. Which was truly something special since he was already used to flirting with just about every molly he directly grew up with. When Pigeonscreech eventually began to reciprocate his courting, pleasantly surprised upon her nuzzling into him for the first time. After a few clanmates witnessed similar sightings gossip became rampant about how could such an ill-tempered molly possibly be his true type. Something that Cloudwhisker shrugs off because he is still able to combat these rumors mostly by still having multiple she-cats on the side that he was still very much affectionate towards.
Cloudwhisker is given Cardinalpaw to mentor and starts to train her for about eight or so moons before she is named Cardinalshade. He continues to be a highly sought after tom for both guardian duties and shameless requests to father kits with she-cats that are not Pigeonscreech. Cloudwhisker shakes his head at the latter to which he says he feels too young to be a father. Time goes on as he ages to be about thirty moons old, even rejecting the idea from multiple guardians that he should become Cloudhawk since he has about two hawk takedowns to his name and is essentially an epitome for future guardians. But, as silly as it sounds, he likes his current name and intends to never take on the suffix of -hawk.
He grows more attached to Pigeonscreech than ever when he is around forty moons old, believing that he does indeed love her. But confusion begins to rise within him after a couple moons of trying for kits with his mate. Unsure if she was even able to bear kits for him, Cloudwhisker slowly became more indulgent in she-cats around him who showed no mercy in pouncing on the opportunity from the rumor that Pigeonscreech was barren.
Cloudwhisker had never really cared for the things that Wolfstar and Lambfire were up to but couldn’t resist the chance to go to war just for the chance to afflict anguish. Pigeonscreech at this time distanced herself from him even more to become tangled in religious extremism. And when it comes time to attack MistClan, Cloudwhisker requests she fight alongside him only for her to rather battle with her brother. He rolls his eyes at her resistance to him but doesn’t object further. Cloudwhisker comes back from the war having killed at least one MistClan warrior and despite RidgeClan’s losses he at least feels unbothered, even self-satisfied. Whispers stir once again that Cloudwhisker manipulated his way into a staggering amount of training from multiple mentors as an apprentice. But this is drastically overshadowed by the hole RidgeClan is feeling from the loss of life after the war. Cloudwhisker finds himself directly growling at the stars and sky for the first time ever upon realizing that her brother went and got himself killed in front of her. He comforts her as his mate once again closely following the war, even though he believes she is barren.
Most of the clan, including himself, is floored when Pigeonscreech finally announces she is pregnant. This allows Cloudwhisker to feel secure enough in loving her to treat her like the apple of his eye once more. However, this tranquility does not last long when Dawndapple also announces she is pregnant, making him almost choke on his own spit from already knowing that they’re most likely his kits too.
And it does unfold exactly in that manner, with Pigeonscreech furious that another molly is pregnant by him. She denies him any involvement or visits to the nursery to see her. She gives birth to Shrikekit, while similarly Dawndapple gives birth to a single kit but does not survive after labor concludes. Upon having to give into fostering the kit, Pigeonscreech names her Leopardkit, but even then does not allow Cloudwhisker to visit them. But once they become apprentices and his ex-mate is fully out of the nursery, Cloudwhisker starts to beg her to let him be in Shrikepaw’s life and that he would shun Leopardpaw.
Presently, Cloudwhisker works on trying to make Pigeonscreech love him again – if it will even prove to be possible – and attempt to be a father for Shrikepaw. On the side, he still has plans to take a pause eventually in shunning Leopardpaw but truthfully Shrikepaw is will always be seen as better in his eyes. When not pursuing mending bonds with Pigeonscreech or after strings of no success he will most likely find himself feeling deprived of affection and still flirt with other she-cats.
personality
An attractive shell is without it’s sinister filling. Cloudwhisker carries himself highly while thinking and acting morally gray. Sometimes darker if he is feeling particularly merciless or cruel depending on the situation. The root of every action or word fuels his own self-interests or motives. Cloudwhisker even goes a step further, he is very relaxed and unafraid when his plans do not go perfectly. He usually finds a reason to laugh even when plans go haywire or leads to an unexpected outcome because he almost always still achieves something towards his goals. In a sense, Cloudwhisker is hard to punish or made to feel remorse due to his care-free and disinhibitory aspects. The most common reason for Cloudwhisker acting in the interest of others is usually if he is fond enough of them or they have earned his pity.
The warrior is as indulgent in sin as one could possibly be while still seeming outwardly dedicated to his clan through very convincing charisma. He believes there is no place after death and is a nihilist in almost all senses of the term. To him, StarClan is pointless and while nine lives may grant a leader something unique but still for most having them will prove meaningless in the end. Cloudwhisker recognizes them as entities but until he finds himself directly benefiting from them, he will continue to see them as arbitrary religious figures in the stars and in dreams.
Cloudwhisker’s bold nature is a double edged sword of both confidence and ostentatious. The latter of which is a characteristic that flows naturally from him being narcissistic. He is purposefully flirtatious towards most she-cats in a way that usually serves to feed his own ego or to further indulge in pleasure. These traits are for the most part responsible for his nights spent sleeping around with she-cats in RidgeClan and a secretive few from the other two clans.
In the post-war RidgeClan setting, Cloudwhisker is content to continue impulsivity, and seeking raptures. His loyalties are pretty grayed out or muddy, and the only cat in his world that he really seeks to appease is his mate, Pigeonscreech.
Perhaps, in a way, his manipulative appetite has been mostly channeled towards an impulsive art bringing about yearning in others, in the sense wanting to witness the destruction of loyalty in others. Something that technically in a way benefits RidgeClan by exposing the other clans further as sinners. While across his forbidden one-night-stands with she-cats of different clans, he has never once actually fallen in love with any of them. He finds his bliss in watching the corrosive properties of his manipulative behaviors create cracks in the loyalties of enemies to their clan and rather wishing to run away with him as lovers.
Otherwise to most of his clanmates, he is either looked up to as a very popular guardian or they see him as a problem. All the while having yet to lose the ability to still charm she-cats while also having a mate.

Pre-Plotting:
Cloudwhisker is set to have interactions with Pigeonscreech, Shrikepaw, and Leopardpaw. Per his wanted ad, he is initially set to shun Leopardpaw and wants to find himself once again on good terms with Pigeonscreech. Humility is sure to be involved, a feeling that Cloudwhisker has very little experience with.
As for plot views and roles within RidgeClan, Cloudwhisker doesn’t particularly fall into any of them. He is no dedicated bastion of the clan, and those that think he is just simply aren’t privy to how the tom really feels. There is little urgency in him to rebuild RidgeClan or reconnect with StarClan and he certainly does not care for unity with the other clans.
Cloudwhisker is truthfully neutral on the role of the oracle, he actually felt excitement to take part in the bloodshed. He thrived under the chaotic uncertainty from the influence of Wolfstar and the oracle, while at the same time not supporting or caring about the views of either cat mentioned. And to lastly address cats of Pluto, Cloudwhisker would agree that religion has rotted the weak minds of a few. However, that is really all, he does not care about deeper divides or feel the urgency to splinter off like they do.
The overall scope of each plot view and roles do not fit Cloudwhisker all too well as he is mostly too busy with his own self image or thrills. He does not directly believe or support the words and views of any figure of authority or peer outwardly except maybe Pigeonscreech. With Cloudwhisker really only being after her affection and to possibly seduce her into loving him again once more.
Family:
While it might seem odd to consider, Cloudwhisker is actually caring towards his blood-relatives. It is actually in his current self-interest to be a better mate to Pigeonscreech. Likewise, he is also motivated to become a more involved father for both Shrikepaw and potentially Leopardpaw if possible.
Cranethroat is an outgoing and religious light blue-gray and white molly, who raised him well and is substantially delusional. His mother was given all the proper resources to raise a son to be proud of, and truly believes she has accomplished this. She is convinced by her son’s grandiose display and he means the entire world to her. Cloudwhisker enjoys further feeding her perception and goes out of his way actually to take care of his mother. Her company is always welcomed by him.
Hazesong was a well-respected, devout follower of StarClan and the guidance given to the clan by the oracle. He saw his two sons mature as apprentices but during leaf-bare he fell sick following a bitter and violent storm. Cloudwhisker is very neutral on the subject matter of his father’s passing and is not very bothered that it happened at all.
Streampaw was his shy and optimistic brother, who also showed similar symptoms to Hazesong after a leaf-bare storm tore through the mountainous cliffs of RidgeClan. Cloudwhisker remembers his brother vividly and deep down misses him. However, he is forbidden by his mother to really ever mention him since she chooses to live in a world where she only ever had one son, who is alive and strong.
Through Pigeonscreech, Cloudwhisker is a father to Shrikepaw and hopes to win both their adoration back. He is caring and loving towards both Pigeonscreech and Shrikepaw, but now that she is an apprentice, he has plans to see if she will accept him as her father. Surprisingly, Cloudwhisker fully expects her to reject his attempt to soothe their relationship but will still make the attempt to be her father.
Leopardpaw is Cloudwhisker’s daughter with Dawndapple from having an affair based on the belief that Pigeonscreech was barren. To his horror, her mother did not recover past the blood loss from giving birth, practically forcing Pigeonscreech to foster his mistake out of convenience. Cloudwhisker is thankful that Pigeonscreech obliged, because he would never want a gruesome death from starvation to befall the newborn kit. It would be easier to express his love for Leopardpaw if she looked anything like him or Pigeonscreech but it is hard to see her as anything but a product of his lust. However, he still acknowledges that he is related by blood to her and does want to attempt to mend their relationship as father and daughter. This is at the bottom of his list of goals with winning Pigeonscreech back and playing a part in Shrikepaw’s life taking priority. Or if either of these goals become sluggish in progress, Cloudwhisker might attempt to reforge a positive relationship with Leopardpaw sooner if she is fond of the idea.
Romance:
As of his initial creation and pre-plotting, Cloudwhisker will act with a goal in mind to become Pigeonscreech’s mate once again. This occuring in the aftermath of his affair from trying to produce a legacy after believing Pigeonscreech to be barren. He has no real other motives than he just loves her as almost a louder version of himself but not quiet. Despite that, he is still soft-open to pre-plotted flirting with other she-cats even if it is one-sided where he is mainly being the one with the charm turned on. Cloudwhisker is also not above spontaneous and flirty remarks on patrols and during hunting.
