appearance
an attractive silver tom with brown spots and stripes with gray eyes
Though he will never admit it, Snowpaw can thank his family, particularly his father, for his handsome and dashing good-looks. Almost everything about Snowpaw is the same as Silversong, though he will actively argue and disagree the resemblance. One thing is different, and that is his athletic build, like his mother. Built for stamina and speed more than anything, he adorns long legs and deep chest to allow more air-collection in his lungs will running in the prairie. His face is slightly more angular than his fathers, which is a nod to his mother. Thankfully, for Snowpaw, he does share traits from both of this parents.
Snowpaw is a bright white color, with brown spots and striped that circle around his pelt, giving his base pelt more of a cream-color in some places. They are the same markings as his father, but the color of his mother's markings. He has larger, wide-set ears for listening to the surroundings. His eyes match Swanfeather's eyes, a gray hue that could be mistaken as a light, icy blue from far away. Perhaps that is why Silversong can no longer look at him.

description
kithood [0 moons - 6 moons]
You know the story that they tell you over and over again about your parents. They were young, young lovers who became a couple almost immediately after their vigil. No time was wasted when Swanfeather, your mother, suddenly bared kits from your father. But, you didn't get a chance to meet her. You don't even remember the smell or warmth of her fur. "She went to StarClan", they all say, as the looks of pity and regret linger in their eyes too long.
The same exact look that your father gives you as he looks at you. Pity and regret. And anger.
You would cry and cry for your father's attention, but he would never look at you. Never care for you. Just your brother.
"Bluekit has two parents taking care of them. Why don't I have any?" Saying that the two 'miracle' kits had two parents was an understatement. They had a constant rotation of cats coming to tend to them, while everyone kept looking at you the same damn way.
"You have me," your brother finally spit out. "Is that okay?" You can't help but feel a sense of superiority. You only have one cat looking out for you, one cat that cares above all the others. You don't need anyone else. "Yeah," you reply back.
Even though you will never admit it, you are handsome like your dad. Sure, you look more like Swanfeather in a lot of ways, as the queens tell you. But you have your father's charm and antics to make you quite the pompous kit. You make fast friends with Cedarclaw's kits, Bluepaw and Oakpaw. She's the sister of Indigoblossom, who seems to be helping your dad when he becomes grief-stricken.
You become popular within the nursery very quickly.
But he seems to be getting better. You catch him laughing and sitting with Indigoblossom a lot, more than he used to. Maybe, finally, you can get to know the cat that everyone compares you to.
Five moons old was a pivotal point for you, a moment you will never forget. "Can I walk with you, please?" you started, with an abnormal shyness to your voice than you were used to. Silversong seemed "normal" today, so you got the courage to go up to them. Your father agreed, which made your pelt stand up on your spine in joy. You joined them in a walk around the camp, with the conversation starting light and happy. This was it. This was finally what you was waiting for. An actual connection to your kin.
"So, who are your friends, dad? Do you think one of them might be my mentor?!" you asked excitedly, but as soon as the words slip from your mouth, you can feel the tides shift.
There was something different about Silversong now. There is a different look in his eye, not one that you have even seen in him before. You wanted to say something, but everything flashes before you as you are now trapped in a corner of camp. Your flooded with screaming and anger. "It's your fault," he shrieks, as you feel the burn of everyone's eyes on you. "That she's dead! It's your fault, Snowkit! You killed her!" You try to be as small as possible, with panic and dread filling your mind. You're trembling. You have to get away, but he was so tall and there was no where to go. But before you could start crying in front of everyone, Silversong is hit to the ground.
Heronkit had knocked your father away, proclaiming that you both didn't need him. Silversong looked stunned, defeated, before a quick node sent him away.
Snowpaw didn't blame himself for killing Swanfeather, especially after Heronkit told you so. You trust Heronkit. Heronkit is safe. But you can tell how angry he is at Silversong. You are angry too. If he is angry, you are angry.

Sitting right beside your brother, you finally become an apprentice. Snowpaw is your name until you can become a warrior, and you are given a cat that you don't really know anything about as a mentor. Fignose is a rather young warrior, with you as his first apprentice. He was known for a large family, with his responsibilities being toward taking care of his numerous, younger siblings and cousins.
You are struggling, just like your brother, but for different reasons. Now that you are an apprentice, you no longer can have a hold on your brother. Your codependency on being next to your brother makes you struggle, along with the occasional, unspoken run-ins with your father. Fignose seems to be struggling to teach you through your adversities as well.
You have to connect to someone, and you connect to another tom named Acornpaw. He doesn't really have any friends, as their family line tries to get them to be closer within each other. But, he hates the only other cat in his family near his age, Wheatpaw, his first-cousin. His stern nature and your friendly demeanor make you instant companions.
It's around this time, as well, that Fignose starts to understand how to keep you focused throughout your training, no longer being distracted by your longing to be near Heronpaw or your family trauma.
You are adventuring one day, closer to the abandoned cabin than you think. You are looking for some flowers to leave in Heronpaw's nest as a brotherly gift. Suddenly, though, you feel a thud against your side, as you immediately engage with what attacked you. You are able to pin the animal down, seeing a brown-tabby cat underneath you.
"Who are you, clan cat?" The cat snarls, his sheathed paws failing to knock you loose of your grip.
"I could ask you the same thing. You don't smell like RidgeClan or MistClan." You let the tom up, as you still keep yourself in a stance ready to fight.
"What are you doing?" He questions.
"My mentor says you never turn your back on a clanless cat." You reply back, noticing that his demeanor is a lot less tense than yours.
"Well, I'm not going to attack you..."
His name is Buzzard. The tom says that he lives with cats that are in the abandoned cabin near the river. You both know there is politics about the cabin cats and the clans, but you are both too young to really understand it. You just know you are friends, despite the destiny of being enemies. You visit your new friend often, in a secluded collection of rocks that have hollowed out near the river. You have fun sparring, trying to catch fish. The days seem endless with him.
You eventually invite Acornpaw. He understands the conflict between the supposed "Cabin Sect" and the clans, so at first, he is disgusted with the idea of being friends with them. But as he hangs out with the two of you, his biases leave him soon after. Finally, Buzzard invites his sister, Finch, to the group of friends. It seemed she had the same thoughts as Acornpaw about being with their enemies, but she quickly accepted the group of friends.
You have a new founded family with your secret friend group and with Cedarclaw's kits, Bluepaw and Oakpaw. Not to mention, you and Fignose have gotten even closer now. Finally, you have cats that you can depend on other than your brother... however, you always enjoy sharing tongues with Heronpaw at the end of the day.
At 11 moons old, the tensions between the Cabin Sect and the clans has intensified. You can feel the tides shifting for a conflict to fester, as your friend group has slowly become more silent with each of the meetings you have. With various attacks and sightings of cats from the supposed sect, you know that your friendships are in jeopardy.
"You know, Cinderstar wouldn't be too judgmental if you joined. Maybe a little skeptical, but she would see the real you," you lean your head toward Buzzard. It's just the two of you.
"I can't just leave my family behind, not to mention how upset Finch would be," he replied, an anger seeming to rise in his throat.
"Then Finch can join too. I promise I can take care of you all." You urge him, though he has now adverted your gaze. The same way that your father does.
"I'm sorry, Snowpaw."
You tell Fignose everything. While they seem disappointed at first, they know that they want nothing more than for you to have friends and have a support system. They will keep it a secret for now.
You see Silversong sometimes. He occasionally tries to take a glance at you when he thinks you aren't looking, but his eyes still feel like burning coal against your pelt.
You are determined, however, to find a way to either stop the conflict between the sect and the clans... or to try to make sure that all four of you within the friendship are safe. But as the conflict begins to climax, you really don't know how you will be able to save everyone you love.

Pre-Plotting: Snowpaw was adopted as Heronpaw's brother from i was raised on little light.
From the PrairieClan Plot Adoptables, Snowpaw most closely aligns with the Peony plot view. Snowpaw wants nothing more than to live his life in peace and worry-free as the first year of his life has been chaotic and traumatizing for him. However, he is adamant on finding a peace resolution between the cabin sect and the clans.
Snowpaw and Bluepaw are intended to have a very long, potential "childhood best friends to lovers" romantic plot.
