Cloudpaw and Swanpaw make up the mean half of Hailstar and Riversong's litter. Now that they're apprentices, their status as Hailstar's kits will skyrocket them into popularity. This wanted ad is for their inner circle of friends! These cats have a variety of personalities, but should all be a little bit of the "mean/snobby popular kid" archetype.

These cats should be between 6 moons old and 10 moons old. If making a 6 or 7 moon old apprentice, your character should have been friends with Cloudpaw and/or Swanpaw when they were all in the nursery.

THE BODYGUARD | reserved

The brawn of the group, this character is intensely protective of all their friends, especially Cloudpaw and Swanpaw. They could the strong, silent type, or maybe they're a goofball, or a himbo. They could even be a bit of a brute, looking to violence before anything else. It's up to you! Below are some suggested character ideas/plotting points:

THE BODYGUARD has an unorthodox background, such as being born outside of the clan, or of having mixed-clan heritage. Because of this, relying on their strength is something they've learned to defend themselves against cats who think they're not worthy of being a warrior.
After moons of intense friendship in this circle, THE BODYGUARD makes a new friend, who makes them struggle to understand where their loyalties really lie.

THE SWEETHEART | reserved

Every group needs the one who reminds them to be friendly, and for this group, that's THE SWEETHEART. Especially compared to their friends, this cat is kind, doting, and supportive. Don't be fooled, though. THE SWEETHEART may be sweet, but they're a bit nasty, too, equipped with sharp claws and a sharper tongue. They're a professional gossip, and may even love planting rumors from time to time, just to see what fun they can get up to. Below are some suggested character ideas/plotting points:

This character comes from a large family and struggles to feel accepted by them, so they often turn to their found family for support instead.
This character has ambitious aspirations: to one day be deputy, maybe even leader. This puts them in conflict with Cloudpaw, who also is very vocal about his ambitions.

THE GROUPIE(S) | 1/2 open

With stars in their eyes, THE GROUPIE follows Cloudpaw and Swanpaw around adoringly. They're a good friend with a good heart, but their naivety often gets them roped into schemes they don't really want to do, or saying things they don't truly mean. They just want to be liked and accepted by their cool new friends. Who knows where this will get them in the future?

Because groupies rarely travel alone, this role is open to two cats. Below are some suggested character ideas/plotting points:

As young apprentices, THE GROUPIE(S) often find ways to attribute any of their successes to others in their friend group, especially Cloudpaw and Swanpaw. Eventually, someone else starts to catch onto this, and pressures THE GROUPIE(S) to stop this habit.
One of THE GROUPIE(S) gets a crush on the other, but thinks they'll never live up to Swanpaw or Cloudpaw, and harbors their feelings in secret.

THE SURPRISE | reserved

This cat doesn't really know how they ended up in this group. They were sort of friends with Cloudkit in the nursery, but never imagined staying friends once they became apprentices, mostly because Cloudkit always seemed so weirdly distant and hard to keep up with. That's the problem with being the leader's kid, huh?

Below is how this character connects to each of the above characters, at least at the beginning.

They have a friendly rivalry/best friendship with Cloudpaw. They bicker a lot, are constantly sparring, and totally forget how to be normal around each other. When they're older, they'll likely be mates.
They want to like Swanpaw, but Swanpaw hates them, and they have no idea why. (Truthfully, Swanpaw is just jealous that Cloudpaw seems to like this character more.)
THE BODYGUARD is one of their closest friends. They hang out all the time. They never really talk, but sparring a bunch counts as hanging out, right? Maybe they should actually have a conversation...
THE SWEETHEART seeks to plant a rumor that will ruin this character, for the sole reason of they don't think THE SURPRISE is good enough for Cloudpaw. Yet, despite their determination, THE SWEETHEART can't help but be a little sweet on THE SURPRISE, perhaps even harboring a one sided crush.
THE GROUPIE(S) feel like mindless little freaks some times, and THE SURPRISE respects them for it. They don't always know how to act around THE GROUPIE(S) when they're being particularly weird about Cloudpaw and Swanpaw, but they'll at least be polite.

This cat also plays the role of Willowfang's child. Willowfang is currently a WIP, so please reach out to Adrian for any additional details you would need! Here are some requirements for Willowfang's child:

They must be seven moons old.
They have a good, trusting relationship with Willowfang (their parent).
They look nothing like Willowfang, who is a silver/gray tabby. This cat can be any color but silver or gray.
They are an only child.
They should be either a tom or a masc-leaning NB cat.
