Spending their days sharing stories of the old times, supervising kits, scolding apprentices, and offering guidance for their clan, elders are some of the most beloved, respected cats the forest has ever seen. Each clan has their own collection of elders with winding histories, impressive accomplishments, and lovable personalities - even the cranky ones. Elders bring a certain life to the clans, and so it's time we had more of them.

This is a call for more elders in all three clans. Specifically, these elders will make up a group of gossiping grumps that meet every gathering. Whenever a gathering happens, one of these elders will start a thread just for other elders to sit, gossip, and catch up on each other's lives. They'll celebrate victories and mourn losses together, briefly forgetting the boundaries that separates them. After all, as revered elders, they have more in common with each other than anyone else.

This wanted ad is mostly to keep track of elders in each clan so I know who to ping when starting a gossip thread. Though of course your elder can have other involvement in RP, the only expectations for cats who fill this wanted ad is to join the gossip thread each gathering. There are no limits, but I may update this periodically to encourage more elders in certain clans so we get a nice variety. Below is a table tracking all the elders. Below are some suggestions for elders:

• A very southern, "bless your heart" type.
• The wine aunt. [Adele]
• Similarly, the vodka uncle.
• The stern, gruff elder who secretly hands children 20 dollars every time they visit. [Briarpelt]
• The storyteller. Whether these stories are true or embellished, everyone wants to listen. [Curlycloud]
• A retired high rank - medicine cat, historian, leader, you name it. Check with staff to make sure it's okay to make this character first!
• A pair of elders who are in love, but never wanted to leave their clans for each other, so they've grown comfortable only seeing their mate at gatherings. Maybe in old age, this will change? [Note: I'm interested in playing one of these, so let me know if you are, too. 👀]
• An "inventor." Someone who, in their old age, is constantly coming up with wild suggestions.
• The old soul. A young cat who's joined the elders' den early for whatever reason, such as severe injury. [Minnowtail]
• Newcomer. A warrior who's really reluctant to accept they're an elder now.
• A loner. Once a loner or rogue, this cat joined a clan recently, and is still adjusting to the idea of being taken care of in their old age.
