appearance
a light brown and white tabby tom with one blue eye, one brown eye
With this tom, his stature is nothing to be impressed by. While he is slightly taller than the average, Horus otherwise doesn't have any other discernable characteristics. Despite that, he still walks proud with his head up and tends to step his paws carefully as he walks, which could be given to his previous status as a leader's son.
Horus is a smooth chestnut brown, as it becomes darker as it goes down his tail. He has white markings, which includes a blaze on his forehead, his muzzle, his chest, and one of this paws. His eyes are two different colors. His left eyes is brown, and his right eyes is blue.

description
"Being a hero is knowing exactly who to hate."
childhood [0 moons to 6 moons]
He was born into royalty, basically.
In a mountain range, just a little over 2 moons journey away from the valley, resided a society of cats. Inside a small opening in the side of a cliff was a vast opening cavern where the felines made their home.
At the top was Osiris and his mate, Isis, who were a kittypet pair before working their way to the top of this group. Their word was law. Under them, were the workers. They hunted, fought, and scouted the mountains for the clan to take in resources. Under the workers were the elders, kits, and those that could not work. Unfortunately, they were usually the last to receive food.
Four kits were born to the hierarchy. In birth order, it was Horus, Anubis, Bastet, and Ra.
From the beginning, Horus was destined to follow in his father's pawprints. Osiris would take his son around with him during the day to teach him all that there was to be a leader. However, as Horus matured, his desire to make a different name for himself grew more by the sunrise.
adolescent [6 moons to 15 moons]
When Horus was 6 moons, he was given a cat as a "mentor" of sorts to teach him how to defend himself and fight, and also how to hunt. By the time he was 10 moons old, he was perfectly capable of being self-sufficient.
It was at 11 moons when he expressed to his father and family the desire he had to adventure. Horus left his family and home behind to be able to make a name for himself in the surrounding areas.
There was a group of cats on the other side of the mountain that had a problem with other predators stealing their prey. Having ideas from his group, Horus volunteered himself to help the group with their problem. Over the course of the next 3 moons, they were able to fight off most of the predators. Or, at the very least, the new group was able to defend themselves against the falcons and the wolves that still lingered. Satisfied, and wanting to see his family, he made his way back home up the mountain.
However, then he arrived and went into the opening, the group that he was born to was gone. All that was left was blood, fur, and a disgusting smell in the air.
young adult [15 moons to present]
After witnessing the demise of his family, Horus set out to find a new place to live. At 16 moons, he arrived to the valley. Quickly, he learned the dynamics of the clans in the area, and while the life intrigued him, he decided to stay a loner.
However, as the moons continued, Horus was not a stranger to the mistreatment of the clans. He had many fights with the clan cats, often resulting in having to find a healer.
As a healer tended to his wounds one day, he started up a conversation to see if there was anything new for him to do in the valley, hopefully to get a name for himself. That's when the healer suggested he go to the cabin, as they heard there was a resistance to the clans starting to build.
At 22 moons, Horus was one of the first group of cats to join the cabin sect, lead by Foxglove. Horus was a mercenary, often helping loners with problems they needed some physical strength with, so it was no wonder that the leader of the group wanted Horus to join. From there, he began to teach the younger cats the skills needed for the group. Hunting, stalking, fighting... all needed for their survival.
Soon after, another tom named Set had joined. Their first conversation was them making fun of each other's names, but Horus quickly liked the tom's attitude. He asked Set to help him with training the cats of the cabin sect.
It gave the tom a purpose, really. Did he necessarily want to kill the clan cats? Um, maybe not. But it would give him the name that he so desperately desired.
"My, my, Horus. You are always tossing and turning in your sleep," Set cooed, laying in the nest next to him.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. I just can't relax," he replied.
"Here," Set rose to his feet, before moving to settle right beside the other cat. "Hopefully, my presence right next to you will help you sleep."
It did help him sleep.
Horus and Set were near the border of PrairieClan when they saw an apprentice hunting. Before Horus could think, Set attacked the youngster, hoping for Horus to steal the prey that the apprentice had killed. Horus completely froze, while Set managed to chase off the apprentice after quite an attack on the cat. Set scolded his friend for his stupidity, and Horus couldn't blame him.
But he blamed himself for what he was becoming for Set.
It was when Horus was 31 moons, when he was resting on a ledge of the cabin. A familiar scent washed over him, and he looked toward the entrance of the cabin.
No way. Osiris.
His father walked into the cabin led by another cabin sect. Horus went to greet his father, and the other tom couldn't hide his shock as well.
Osiris detailed that another hostile group of cats attacked their home in the cave. Everyone scattered and ran away if they weren't killed. Osiris detailed how Isis, Horus' mother, was one of the first cats struck down. After the attack, it had been Osiris' mission to find all his offspring and join with them again.
It was then that Osiris asked Horus to leave with him in the morning. Horus was hesitant. He had made a name in the cabin, and Set was starting to question his loyalty. But, he agreed to go with his father, only if they managed to escape quietly.
Horus pulled a lie that Osiris was going to join the cabin sect, then they would escape during the dawn. However, Set saw right through it.
It was morning, but Osiris was not next to Horus, when they fell asleep. Horus made his way out of the cabin to search. It was then that he found a trail of blood leading away. Horus raced forward, only to see Set standing over top of his father's body.
Horus was outraged, while Set stood in silence. The two then engaged in battle. It was bloody, tiring, neither side was giving up. Both of the toms were covered in wounds when Horus knew that the end would result in both of their deaths. One could not live without the other. And in that, Horus fled. Another time, love.
Horus managed to escape to the barn cats and get his wounds healed. He hardly left the barn in fear of being seen by the cabin sect, offering battle lessons in exchange for food and secrecy. It was then that a cat came talking about a foreign group starting to form in the mountains behind RidgeClan.
Well, maybe he can make a new name for himself.
