appearance
A gangly, long-furred ginger tabby kitten with brown eyes.
-
In the future:
A graceful, long-furred ginger tabby she-cat with brown eyes and distinct tabby markings on her face.
-
Zinnia's coloration gives her a striking resemblance to her father. Her coat is the lightest shade of ginger, nearly white in some places, but will darken as she gets older. Currently, the only place her tabby markings are visible is her face, and as she ages those markings will become more distinct. Her eyes are a warm brown, orange in the right light, and are nearly always crinkled in laughter.
For now, Zinnia has the coordination of a kit, made worse by legs far too long for her torso. Eventually she'll take after her mother's shape - athletic, tall, graceful - but never quite develop enough muscle to be called strong. Instead, her long limbs and narrow face will make her fast, like an arrow cutting through open space.

description
As the first kit born to the newly formed Kingdom, Zinnia will bear the weight of the future on her shoulders heavily. This, coupled with being the only surviving kit of her litter, and thus doted on by all, would be the perfect recipe for a cat to be full of themselves. Zinnia, however, will feel crushed by the expectations and attention on her. She'll never think herself good enough for the legacy she's born into and will constantly wish it was her brother who survived, not her.
Though insecure, Zinnia will remain a kind cat. She likes other cats, even if she struggles to trust and open up to them, and so she'll never be difficult to be around. At a young age, she'll learn it's easier to protect yourself if everyone thinks you're helpful - it makes other cats less likely to dislike you. In fact, she cares so much about being kind and helpful to others, Zinnia will eventually pursue learning about herbs and other medicinal practices so that she can provide aid to her fellow Kingdom cats.
This interest in medicine may one day end up with Zinnia learning more about the clans to gather knowledge from them. Though it's unlikely she'll ever defect from her home, especially if the clans remain tense toward the Kingdom, Zinnia won't be able to help but wonder what her life would've been like if it was a clan that took her mother in, and not Laurelfern.

Pre-Plotting: Zinnia is the only living kit of Eve's recent litter. She fills the role in her mother's wanted ad, Everything All At Once. Her political views/plot alignment will develop over time, but she will most likely end up identifying with the Dragonfly beliefs.
Family: As the only surviving kit in her litter, Zinnia will be spoiled by the attention she receives from Eve and Sable. She will come to value the two of them as the only cats in the world she can really trust and thus come to have the view that blood is more important than any sort of friendship.
Friends: Though Zinnia will learn from a young age that family is more important than anything else, her long term growth will involve learning to let other cats in. Eventually, Zinnia will value friendships just as much as family.
Romance: Similar to friends, it will take Zinnia a while to learn to value the flutter of her heart when someone she likes is around. For now, she's just a kitten with no concept of romantic love.
Rivals: Animosity toward another cat will come easy to Zinnia. Though she's not a bitter or angry cat, she is someone that will struggle to trust outside of her family, and thus any small slight against her could fester in her mind, turning her against any cat that catches her on a bad day.
