appearance
A thin silver leopard-spotted tom with soft blue eyes.
❦
Like dew across a meadow, the tom is a soft silver. Dark stripes stretch over his head and wrap his legs, and ring his tail, as if they were the deep shadows in the grass at dawn. His markings become round pools on the rest of his body, like a leopard, or like the edges of the droplets that cling to every surface overnight. With his size, he might as well have been a dew-drop himself. Thin and reedy, his long legs are his only signs of any height. The wisp of a tom carries the soft eyes of his mother, pale blue and expressive, as full with laughter as he can make them.

description
》》 chapter i.
》 Riversong and Hailstair birthed four kits on a tepid day. Four healthy kits was too much to ask of StarClan, it seemed, for while Lilykit, Grasshopperkit, and your third sibling found the strength to demand what they needed to live in just the first moments, you, the first born, were small. Quiet - not even breathing. It took terrifying moments of vigorous licking to coax a mewl from you. The lovely afternoon and joyous welcome turned into a tense waiting game, waiting to see if you would survive the night.
》 And you did. You survived that first night, and the next, and the one after that. But survive you did - certainly not thrive. Though not quite as small as Lilykit, you remained thin and sickly, even as you perked up to the world and grew old enough to understand you didn't quite fit into it. The relationship built between your siblings and the rest of the clan was something you yearned for, but there was a disconnection somewhere - perhaps your frailness, perhaps just knowing you would never measure up to what the clan neededCertainly not the way Grasshopper kit would.
》You tried to follow you younger brother once, on one of the many excursions he made with Cardinalkit. You always like Cardinalkit and his clever nature. You wanted to be apart of the fun, but never could keep up, caught before you could catch up to them. Never did you sell out your brother or the older kit. Soon enough, you became their cover. They’re hiding, we’re playing hide and seek. Oh, no, they just went to make dirt. Anything to be accepted. You would take any crumbs he could find. Soon you learned how to find more scraps with jokes and a positive attitude. No one liked your bitterness, so you have learned to stuff it down deep and put on a sardonic grin.
》You have wondered what will become of you far too much for such a young kit, as the clan around you wonders too. You’ve heard the whispers. Will he be strong enough to be an apprentice? Will he make it through the winter? Will he grow strong enough? You pretend not to feel the sting. But tucked away in the blooming hurt in your heart, you fear that you will forever be the shadow cast by your siblings’ flames.

kit - 2 moons
It's said sometimes that the truth of your identity is who you are when you are alone. Dewkit is afraid of exactly that; no matter what comedic mask he puts forward, tragedy is the one always hiding beneath.

relations
Pre-Plotting: Dew would most likely align with the Branches of MistClan as he grows, wanting nothing more than to be a connected member of his clan. He hates the isolated feeling his poor health brings, and sees the strength that comes from the support others give each other.
Family: Desperate for their love, and firmly throttling down his resentment, he shows nothing but support for them. Though that support comes with easy jibes and cynicism. He will defend and remain loyal to his siblings until the end, and dearly loves his mother, and looks up to his father with a deep desire for his approval.
Friends: While he would love friends, he has none. He can’t keep up with the typical kit, and he’s resentful of the older cats’ concern over his wellbeing.
Romance: Ew, cooties.
Rivals: He knows he doesn’t stand a chance against most anyone in the clan, and so he does not have rivals.
