Irisfrost's Extended Family
Irisfrost is the young queen whose kits were stolen from Mistclan's nursery.
Her union to the late Troutstream was heavily influenced by her mother and mentor, who wanted to join their families. These are the families! There's a lot of room for adopters to play around with these characters, and the whole big family tree can be found here. Warning, lots of dead cats and kits are in the family tree.

| Swanflight | 60-70 moons Swanflight heavily dictated Irisfrost's path in life. From the moment her daughter drew breath Swan wanted her to be a queen. In Irisfrost's application this is somewhat implied to be because Swanflight either wanted to be a permaqueen or was also pressured into being a young mother the same way Irisfrost was. Her exact motivations are up to the adopter, but either way it resulted in a controlling and toxic relationship between Swanflight and her daughter. She was also likely has a controlling relationship with her sons, pushing them to be respectable warriors. After Ashstrike died she insisted that Irisfrost name one of her sons after him and is likely grieving her son silently, though her actions imply she doesn't care nearly as much about her daughter's missing kits. Swanflight was an older cat when she had her last litter, so she's somewhere in the 50-70 moons range. She's likely white or gray with fluffy fur, although her appearance and name can be changed by the adopter. Her personality is also up to the adopter, although she must be a controlling cat who matches the history in Irisfrost's bio. |
| Beechstripe| 65-75 moons Beechstripe is an older, respected warrior. He was likely a good 5 moons older than Swanflight when they became mates. It's implied they are in a semi-arranged relationship like the one between Irisfrost and Troutstream. His personality and appearance are up to the adopter. His name can be changed as well. His opinions on his mate and children are up in the air, though I imagine he wasn't a very involved father. |
 | Smokegaze is Irisfrost's only living brother. Hislittermate Ashstrike died in the battle. Smokegaze is likely under pressure to be a great warrior, especially now that his brother is dead. He and Irisfrost were likely not close growing up due to Swanflight's deep grip on her daughter and the large age gap. Smokegaze's appearance and personality are up to the adopter, though I imagined him as the quieter brother now struggling to live up to the expectations of those around him after Ashstrike's death. |
| Eaglestrike| 90+ moons Eaglestrike is the head of Troutstream's family. The patriarch. Great-grandfather to the missing kits. A highly skilled warrior Eaglestrike spent much of his life attempting to create a large and skilled family to thrive for generations to come. It didn't work out well for him. Eaglestrike's life is marked by death. He had three mates in his attempts to have a large family. Of his seven children, only two are alive. His first mate, Doveflight, and him had three kits. Two died in birth and one died as an apprentice. The stress split them apart. His next mate, Robinwing, died in childbirth with one of their kits. His other son survived, though Eaglestrike abandoned him as a kit and moved on. The surviving son is Wrensong, and the two are not close. His current mate, Brookpelt, is the one he's been with longest. They had two kits together, Stonesong and Palebranch. Palebranch passed in the recent battle. Most else is up to the adopter. |
| Brookpelt| 70+ moons Brookpelt is Eaglestrike's current mate and the mother of Stonesong. She's the great grandmother of Irisfrost's kits. She's likely younger than her mate and potentially kinder. Her personality and appearance are up to the adopter. |
| Stonesong| 40-50 moons Stonesong was Irisfrost's mentor and the father of her late mate Troutstream. He is a highly charismatic cat and arranged for Irisfrost and Troutstream to get together, along with Swanflight. He and Swanflight were close friends, though he may disagree with how quickly she moved on after the kits went missing. The death of his son left its mark, with him insisting that one of his grandkits be named Troutkit. The rest of his appearance and personality are up to the adopter. |
| Wrensong - Taken| 50-60 moons Wrensong is biologically a part of Eagelstrike's family, but is not treated as such. After his mother died in childbirth along with his sister, Wrensong was expected to die as well. Eaglestrike handed him off to a queen and moved on. But the kit survived and is now a successful warrior known for his charisma. He might have an entire family himself, though that is up to the adopter along with his appearance and personality. |
| Anyone Else | Any moons The family tree is big but there's always the chance there are other cats I just haven't though of or included. Eaglestrike and Brookpelt might've had more litters, Troutstream or Swanflight or Beechstripe might have siblings. Basically if you think of another character to add into this mess let me know! |
