appearance
Born a pale cream with only the subtlest hints that his fur would darken as the moon progressed, Pearkit was named after the delicate blossoms that flood parts of the valley's farmland during newleaf. Unlike the pear blossom, he quickly develops darker brown markings that help him blend into meadows just a little better. Also unlike the delicate pear blossom, he doesn't stay small for long. Though stocky young, his larger paws suggest growing leggier in his youth, though it will be some moons before he can take the long strides he might in the future. To that extent, he resembles his father much more so than his mother.
description
The elders who claimed litters born in newleaf to be sweet likely didn't mean to jinx Dappledfern, and yet, the trio of siblings proved an exception to the rule. Plumkit, the oldest, is loud and hotheaded. Applekit, the youngest, is charismatic, but argumentative.
Pearkit, in the middle, seems at first the most mellow of the group - and yet, competitions and quarrels always seem to get worse where he's involved. Their personalities are a perfect storm. Either they will be the closest of siblings as a result, or have better luck finding their footing in their clan by branching out.
To that end, Pearkit is pretty independent. He of course loves to be with his mother, and is too young to venture far without her, but he also bonds quickly with another kit, born only half a moon later. Violetkit, as she's called, is every bit as playfully competitive as he is, but with enough charm to tame a snake. The two are easy best friends and will likely be close confidants in the future.
Though a bit lf a trouble maker, Pearkit isn't the most rambunctious of cats, even young. He tends to be a little bit on the easy going side, actually. This isn't to say that he's lazy - far from it. But he's not as excitable as other kits might be, and it shows. Whether that develops into aparhy or just a strong sense of purpose is to be determined!

Pre-Plotting: Pearkit, Applekit, and Plumkit make up Dappledfern and Littlewing's first litter. Though young, he's judgmental enough that he might start to form opinions about the clan's politics and decisions early on, based on the interactions he has with the older cats in his life.
