A lanky, longhaired cream silver classic tabby with muddy yellow eyes.
Compared to her siblings and the rest of Ridgeclan, Brightkit is very average in size. The only sibling they're bigger than is Pebblekit, which isn't a very tall feat. They're still larger than most cats, but nothing special in a clan of giants. The thing that does set them apart from their siblings, all three others clad in silvers and blacks, is the color of their coat. She looks like a lighter, miniature version of one of their fathers, Foxflight. Of course, plus the ear tufts and elegant features of Silverheart.
As a kit, their eyes change from blue to a dark yellow color, which will slowly mature into a yellow-green as they age. Their fur is tufty and long, and usually quite rumpled as they complain and wriggle whenever their parents try to groom them. Though she has not known the cold, it is plenty thick enough to keep her warm in leafbare. She has broad shoulders and big paws, and a pleasant, gentle resting face despite her bad attitude.

Kithood Brightkit is born third to fathers Silverheart and Foxflight at the very end of newleaf. Though unplanned, the litter of four is not unwelcome. The toms had grown up together and kinda always had some subtle feelings for each other, but Wolfstar's influence made them argue and cut ties. They did not speak for moons, even after Silverheart was gravely injured during the war and being cared for in Mistclan territory.
Until Foxflight showed up one day in the elders den where his once-friend slept, asking to be friends again. And Silverheart gave him a chance. They gradually reconnected, and a sudden love confession out of Foxflight made Silverheart reveal that he reciprocated the other tom's feelings. They both agreed to take it slow, as they were still becoming friends again.
But things don't always happen as planned. Hence, the litter of four. Brightkit is the only one to bear an orange coat like Foxflight, her siblings Stonekit, Dark-kit, and Pebblekit having black-and-grey fur like Silverheart. She scares her fathers by catching a cold soon after birth, and though she pulls through, a ticklish cough remains even during the warm moons. They're a little behind their siblings because of their rough start, but don't let anyone tell them otherwise. It looks like the kit has a far fierier personality than their name and soft face suggest.
At the very least, Brightkit's siblings seem happy to include her in their games even when she's not being the nicest to to them. They hold a soft spot for Pebblekit as the littlest one, letting her get away with far more than their brothers. They enjoy Stonekit's more solemn attitude, and clash the most with Dark-kit because of how sunny and carefree he can be. However annoying her littermates can be sometimes, Brightkit loves and is very protective of them in the end.

While tending to act more subdued than other kits, Brightkit's calm front only hides their temper. They're liable to watch and think about a situation before acting on it, but their moodiness usually sabotages any forethought. They can be sensitive and upset by small things, especially as they don't understand yet why they can't control everything. She also tends to be less enthused than her peers to play new games or try new things, happy to take extra naps even as she nears apprentice age.

Pre-Plotting: Brightkit is the thirdborn child of Foxflight and Silverheart from got my love jumpstarted. Their opinions on clan politics will morph and change as they age, but they are likely to fall somewhere between Saturn and Uranus like their parents.
Family: Born into a litter of four, with living grandparents, a number of aunts and uncles, and even a cousin or two—Brightkit has plenty of family. Sometimes she finds them annoying, but all of the time she loves them deeply. The care her fathers show for their kittens instills a deep fondness for family in Brightkit, and a bond that they do not want to see broken.
