high ranks
High rank characters, being more essential to the roleplay, will be held to higher expectations compared to other Clan ranks. All high ranks must remain active and post at least once every month. Staff will reach out if activity has dropped and may ask for the position to be relinquished if inactivity becomes a pattern. During our monthly activity checks, each high rank character must link their most recent post.
High ranks will also be responsible for fulfilling all duties of their rank, including Gathering participation, performing ceremonies, meeting at the half-moon, hosting Clan meetings, etc.
Members may have three high rank characters as long as the characters are in different Clans. Activity expectations are per character, not member.
All high rank characters are selected via applications. To apply for a high rank, please write the application of the character as if they have already been the high rank. Once an application is received, staff will set a deadline for other interested parties to send in an application. The deadline will be set for a minimum of 3 days up to 1 week, depending on interest. Extensions may be requested.
Whitewater features the usual Clan high ranks as well as a unique high rank for each Clan. These unique roles do not take apprentices, but instead have a group of unofficial students who study alongside the rank in addition to their normal duties. The unique rank will let their leader know if their preferred replacement, though in the case of unexpected death, the decision will fall on the leader and deputy.
Previous high ranks and our recent timeline can be found here!
For our first high rank characters: We are able to adjust some timing in regards to previous ranks, so please reach out to staff for approval before sending in your application to see if your timeline adjustments would be permitted.

Oracle:open
More details about RidgeClan's ex-oracle can be found in their plot adoptables here.
The oracle in RidgeClan is responsible for spiritual communication with StarClan. Unlike the medicine cat, their whole life is dedicated to communication with the ancestors and interpreting their dreams for signs. The oracle makes frequent trips to the Moonpool, often staying to sleep by its waters.
However, the role has been dissolved in light of the recent battle, which was driven by religious fervor. No replacement role has taken yet taken its place, causing further tension and strife in RidgeClan.
prairieclan
- Leader: Cinderstar
- Deputy: Nettlefang
- Medicine Cat: Maplefrost
- Medicine Cat Apprentice: Vulturepaw
- Herbalist: Lionflower
The herbalist is charged with taking care of the territory's plants, learning their names and uses and cultivating their health. It's not uncommon for herbalists to prune, plant, and relocate the different flora of PrairieClan's territory to maintain optimal conditions.
They often work closely with the medicine cat, assisting with herb stocks and making sure plants aren't overharvested.
mistclan
- Leader: Hailstar
- Deputy: Briarpelt
- Medicine Cat: Lotusfire
- Medicine Cat Apprentice: Spottedpaw
- Historian: Hawthorntail
This secretive clan boasts the unique rank of historian, whose task is to memorize and notate the history of clan life. Historians are trained to have excellent memories, and typically can quote a conversation from several moons ago word-for-word.
Most notably, historians have developed a rudimentary writing system, scratching symbols onto the rock walls of a jagged gully called the Stonemark. These symbols are simplistic and similar to shorthand, and typically only historians are taught to read them.
