Featherflight is Silversong’s sister at 30 moons old. She’s pretty much a blank slate.

As a kit, Featherkit and her littermates faced a lot of contempt from clanmates due to her heritage, specifically from denmates. In particular, Icekit picked on them plenty of times, often leaving Featherkit in tears. However, somehow, Featherkit and her sister, Fernkit, who she was close with, became best friends with Icekit’s sister, Swankit, who was kind and quiet. When Silverkit managed to befriend Icekit and put an end to the bullying, Featherkit and Fernkit started to come out of their shells.

As they aged, Featherpaw and Fernpaw noticed when Silverpaw and Swanpaw began to spend more time together. Swanpaw likely confided in them about her growing crush on Silverpaw. When Silversong and Swanfeather became mates, Featherflight and Fernwing were overjoyed for them. And then when Silversong and Swanfeather shared with them that they were going to be parents, Featherflight and Fernwing couldn’t have been any happier.

Life was good. But then Swanfeather died and suddenly life wasn’t so good anymore. Silversong withdrew and became someone else, someone Featherflight couldn’t recognize. Distance grew between them until there wasn’t anything left to tie them together. Now that Silversong is recovering, though, maybe Featherflight would like to connect with her brother again and become involved in the lives of her nephews. Or maybe she’d rather wait for Silversong to come to her.

Icefang is Silversong’s former friend at 30 moons old.

In the beginning, Icekit bullied Silverkit and his sisters, and believed them to be beneath him due to their kittypet blood. Most likely, Icekit’s parents spoke poorly of Silverkit and his sisters, and Icekit simply repeated their words. However, his sister, Swankit, followed a different path. Swankit befriended Silverkit’s sisters, Featherkit and Fernkit, something Icekit wasn’t too pleased about, but his sister was determined to keep her friends close.

Silverkit eventually managed to break down Icekit’s walls and they became close friends. As an apprentice, Icepaw was likely clueless to the feelings developing between Silverpaw and Swanpaw, so when they became mates shortly after their warrior ceremony, he was surprised. Icefang wasn’t very fond of their union, certain it’d be awkward for his best friend and sister to be mates - and perhaps some part of him didn’t like the idea of their future kits having kittypet blood, but Silversong changed his mind.

When Swanfeather died, Icefang was distraught. He blamed Silversong for his sister’s death and he probably blamed Heronkit and Snowkit, too. He was just so angry and Silversong and his sons were easy targets. His rage has likely died down by now and he’s probably ashamed of how he’d blamed Silversong and a pair of innocent kits, but he’s unsure of how to make amends.
