This two part ad: a triumvirate-themed romance, featuring the Mind, the Soul, and the Heart, and a near-future apprentice for Sable to teach medicine (and be taught in turn to trust).
Sable is the Mind, adhering to the calm, logical side of their brain and using it to guide them through life - they believe emotions can lead one astray, to heart-ache and misfortune.
Now, enter the Soul and the Heart, two star-crossed lovers separated by borders and the Warrior Code... Or, at least, they were, until the Kingdom was founded. The Soul had just shared with the Heart that they were expecting and the pair of lovers were stuck, unsure of their next move... until the Heart decided they should abandon their old lives and start anew in the Kingdom, where nothing would keep them apart. The Soul, after some thought, agreed.
The Student, the only kit of the Heart, followed after the two; they had their heart set on healing but would not get the opportunity to follow their dreams in the clans, where all the medicine cat's had apprentices. Now in the Kingdom, the Student is adamant to become a medic... and for Sable to teach them.
As much as Sable dislikes clan cats, there's no avoiding this growing family: the Soul needs to be looked after medically, the Heart is an accident prone ninny, and the Student won't leave them be. But, maybe, this will do them some good...

Besides what's noted in each section below, all three of these cats are very open-ended! Appearances, genders, names, family, past, and histories are all up to you! Names for the Heart and the Student are open to change and more of placeholders, seen in Ottersplash's (the Soul) history. The romance for these three will likely be slower-paced, at least until the Student helps teach Sable to trust again; even then, though, I don't see this as a love triangle affair. I’m a sucker for mutual pinning and Sable is definitely the type to sit on the sidelines and bury any intentions of speaking up about feelings - especially as Sable has seen their sister deceived and betrayed by a lover on top of that. But otherwise I'm looking to brainstorm thoughts about how the romance will go with adopters!

The Student has always been interested in herbs and learning about the land around them and were exceedingly disheartened when they had to become a warrior's apprentice. The Heart was their only parent who understood their dissatisfaction and, because of that, the two were and still are very close. When the Heart and their previous mate split, the Student was abandoned by their other parents as a reminder of the Heart; unsurprisingly (to the Student), when they overheard their parent and the Soul planning to leave the clans for the Kingdom, the Student decided they would not be left behind... And they weren't. Since becoming a part of the Kingdom, the Student has fallen in love with the lifestyle - the freedoms, the flexibility.... the numerous cats to learn medicine under. For some reason (which is up to you!) the Student wants to apprentice under Sable and has been doggedly trying to persuade the smoke tabby to take them under their wing. They like the Soul and are likely excited to have more siblings. (After a few threads together, Sable will take the Student on as a medic-apprentice, unrelated to the romance sparking with the Student's parents <3) |

The Soul is cat who is self-assured and at peace with who they are and the choice's they've made in life. They strike an even balance between following their heart and mind and, once they make a decision, don't look back. The Soul and Sable often spend time together, seeing as Sable's duty as a Medic is to keep everyone healthy and an expecting cat is at the top of such a list. The Soul finds Sable's logical distance cute but is often disheartened by the smoke tabby's distrust of others (especially clan cats); they want to help Sable heal and move past those trust issues. The Student's harmless idolization of the Medic tickles Soul to no end and they likely do not discourage their step-kit from pursuing an apprenticeship under the Medic. (The Soul would not deny the Heart's growing crush on the Medic, not only because they trust their mate, but because they find themself liking Sable too.) |

The Heart is a cat that is heavily in touch with their emotions, to the point of often letting their feelings carry them away. They've been called fickle and spirited in the past and are known for leaping before looking in most situations, always choosing to follow their heart. They are known for somewhat poor communication skills, which has bitten them in the ass before. The Heart had a mate prior to meeting the Soul, but when the two ran into each other, it just an instantaneous kind of connection. Unfortunately, the Heart's former mate did not approve of the Heart not only breaking the Warrior Code but also finding love elsewhere. The two split up and the Heart was, ironically, broken-hearted; as the Soul helped them piece it back together, they became disillusioned with the clans. The Heart is a bit of an accident prone sort and so often finds their way in Sable's care; despite being drastic opposites, they've found themself harboring a crush on the smoke tabby. They are very torn between their pining and worry that they could mess up their love life again. They do, however, encourage their kit in being Sable's apprentice (perhapsa bit selfishly). |
