rockscreech adopts
In Rockscreech's life, there are two types of cats: those with him and those against him.
Rockscreech values the few cats that have decided climbing the treacherous, towering walls around his heart is worth it; and he gladly gives the cold-shoulder to any the stand against him.
The future of Ridgeclan is unclear and clouded in danger, but its still there and there is no avoiding it; its best to meet it head-on, together.
Names are open to change, though I ask you try to keep the original reasonings in mind and not deviate from that (i.e. change a color-based prefix to a litter naming theme). Images are suggestions and links to get a better look at the cat used are provided at the end of each adoptable's section; if you want to change the image, all I ask you run it by me first! Unless specifically noted, sex is open for each cat (if gender is open, it will also be noted). I also offer pre-plotting roles or ideas with some cats too, but those are merely suggestions as well.

Rockscreech's brother and rival (as well as the former Antfern's rival), Raintail learned from a young age that his strengths were not physically inclined. No, Raintail is much better at charming others and has developed quite the silver-tongue as he's aged - his good looks certianly don't hurt either. He has always seen Rockscreech as unfairly advantaged and overly favored by their father Cliffstorm; he likes praises and recognition a bit too much and has a bit of jealous streak, especially it come to Rockscreech. He considers himself the smarter brother of the pair (though that isn't very true), the brains to his littermate's brawn. He became Antfern's rival back when they were apprentices, because she was new and interesting and honestly easily to manipulate with no friends. He is still offended that she dared to think she could have a crush on him and is rather glad she's died. He has had an apprentice that recently became a warrior. Image here |

Lots of cats like to act like its some big thing that the Ridgeclan warrior befriended Rockscreech, but to Flarepatch is was simple: she was lonely and the brusque tom was kind of pitiful. No friends and his own brother hated him enough to spread some rather cruel rumors about him amongst the other apprentices... Not that she was any better. You see, Flarepatch and her sister had been thick as thieves as kits, but as soon as they became apprentices, her sister started rapidly distancing herself from Flarepatch. So she set out to make friends with Rockscreech and, in the process, actually grew to like him. She likes to claim he's a big softy on the inside, but with the understanding that she's very lucky to get past his walls. She trained an apprentice at the same time as Rockscreech trained Martenfang. While Flarepatch is not Rockscreech's type when it comes to romance, it is 100% likely she would meddle between Rockscreech and his LI, because she thinks having a soft-spot like that would be good for her dear friend. Originally a friend of Flarepatch, he decided to give Rockscreech a chance because - as she pointed out - he had no one between his shitty brother and the rumors Raintail spread. He was leery of Rockscreech at first, but quickly found the two shared the same kind of dry, coarse humor. Now that both are guardians, he makes sure that Rockscreech doesn't take himself too seriously - somebody has to keep him from doing so anyway. He has had an apprentice, though notably younger than Rockscreech and Flarepatch's own. He and Flarepatch had a brief thing together as young warriors, but it didn't last and the two are far better off as friends.  | MAKE A WEAK SPOT (LOVE INTEREST) | open REQUIREMENTS: male (gender), 40-50 moons old, in Ridgeclan Sometimes, romance hits you when you least expect it; and Rockscreech is never expecting it. He's very closed off, with high walls and not the nicest reputation even amongst his own clan, so why would he? Besides, this way no one can learn his horrible secret... That is, Rockscreech like his fellas very dumb (at least, what he considers dumb: overly sunny, optimistic types that tend to forgive easily or give others the benefit of the doubt... y'know, his total opposite) and he really struggles with the fact that this is what his type is; he understands, begrudgingly, that you can't control who you're attracted to or what the heart wants, but damnit seriously? Whether his LI is either already interested in him or oblivious, Rockscreech is going to battle this whole affair tooth and nail, because being vulnerable with another cat is already difficult but doubly so now that he has been betrayed by his former friend Cherry. So, a romance with this broody guardian promises to be a slower comedy, with potential second-hand embarrassment, as he fights this inevitable romance. (And maybe his friends will be around to meddle in this whole debacle as well) Shalebelly is a possible candidate for this spot, as he and Rockscreech have known each other for a long time! Besides the glimpses of him in Rockscreech's bio (read up to get an idea of their relationship) and the mentioned traits in his adopt section above, he's pretty open-ended. |
