ridgeclan plot views
For time without measure, RidgeClan has survived in the harshest conditions, standing strong and firm against the bitter mountain winds, deep freezes, and fierce predators. But now their foundations are crumbling beneath their paws, faith shaken by the intense religious fervor that gripped them under Wolfstar's leadership, and Clanmate turns on Clanmate as opinions are divided on who to blame, who to trust, and how to move forward.
RidgeClan needs to rebuild, but with so many cats dividing into factions of opinion, it might just splinter instead. Whispers of revolution spark concern that civil war is brewing under the surface, while others urge their Clanmates to take a more peaceful direction and accept the help of their neighbors.
The former oracle stands in the center of the fray, stripped of their title. Their role is a unique one, stepping down to earth after spending most of their life among the stars, and what they find is ashes. RidgeClan has been shattered, though whether it is because of Wolfstar's fervor or his failure is difficult to say. But one thing is obvious: much of RidgeClan still looks to the oracle for guidance, and their path will influence the future of the Clan—whether by its recovery, or its destruction.

MARS | ∞ With a weakened Clan in the wake of battle and losing both their leader and deputy in one fell swoop, the cats of Mars have stepped up as bastions of strength. They feel it's more important than ever to stand firm, valuing independence and dignity. Accepting help from the other Clans would only be confirming their current weakness, and they can't afford to owe any debts. While these cats can be aggressive, they hold their Clanmates' safety at heart, ready to defend with tooth and claw if necessary, and aren't afraid to be assertive to ensure prosperity for the future of their Clan. |
SATURN | ∞ The responsibility of rebuilding RidgeClan weighs heavily on cats aligned with Saturn. In such a tumultuous time, they find stability in the routine and traditions of Clan life, and encourage their Clanmates to do the same. While Wolfstar's extremism has damaged much of the spirituality in RidgeClan, these cats believe that only makes it more important to reconnect with StarClan in a healthy way, fostering a gentler approach and remembering that the divisions of the world do not exist in StarClan, that all Clans become one. As such, to accept the help of their neighbors is not a sign of weakness, but an acknowledgement of the unity that comes after death. |
URANUS | ∞ RidgeClan's extreme devotion has become a hindrance, stunting their independence and will to make their own decisions. Cats of Uranus will assert that the oracle was a redundant and needlessly divisive role, and they're better off relying on their medicine cat like the other Clans do. These cats believe that RidgeClan's sense of superiority has to come to an end for there to be peace in the valley, and for that they need to stand on their own merits instead of StarClan's. Cats of Uranus are tired of the superiority surrounding RidgeClan's spirituality. Some of them may even be atheists, though this stance, if known, may make them unpopular within RidgeClan. |
PLUTO | ∞ In the far orbit of RidgeClan are the cats of Pluto, who believe that the Clan is far too corrupted by its history of religious superiority. At every turn they see the rot of RidgeClan's dependence on their ancestors, weakening the foundations and causing deeper divides between them and the other Clans. Their only hope to survive as a Clan now is a drastic change in leadership and direction, destroying the current climate to give way to new growth. Some of these cats believe that even that may not work and that their only option is to splinter off from this crumbling Clan and form their own on the high peaks of the north or even further east, to the denser span of wetland pine forest. |
ridgeclan plot roles
THE ORACLE| 1/1 W This cat has been the oracle for four seasons, but this new-leaf they were forced to step down as their role was discontinued. They did take part in igniting RidgeClan's holy war and attempting to claim the Moonpool, but how they feel about the war now and if their opinion has changed after the battle is up to the adopter. How they cope with losing their rank, their current stance in Clan politics, and all details like gender and appearance are also up to the adopter. This role has a lot of room for character development and growth, and could play a key role in how RidgeClan moves forward! Due to their possible plot importance, this role will be selected by audition, similar to active high ranks. |
GALAXY | ∞ Those who align with Galaxy support the idea of leaving RidgeClan to form a group elsewhere, whatever that may be. They have set their sights on building a happier life somewhere outside of RidgeClan, but they also have little to no desire to transfer to another Clan. They’ve experienced firsthand how easily a wicked cat can rise to a position of power in the Clans and they don’t ever want to serve a cat like that again. These cats may also affiliate with the Uranus or Pluto roles in RidgeClan’s plot adoptables and probably have no hope for RidgeClan. |
COMET| 1/1 Comet opposes the idea some of their Clanmates have of leaving RidgeClan to form a group elsewhere, whether it be another Clan or something entirely different. They’re immensely loyal to RidgeClan and can’t imagine a warrior lacking faith in their Clan. They may go about their disapproval in an aggressive manner or take a more subtle approach, but either way, Comet possesses a strong dislike for the idea. This cat likely aligns with Mars, cats who cherish strength and dignity, or Saturn, those who value stability and tradition. |
ASTEROID | Toadfeather Someone is to blame for the death of Wolfstar and the Asteroid of RidgeClan has taken it upon themself to find the cat responsible. They might choose to investigate the late leader’s death to improve their reputation or to reveal to everyone just how much trouble RidgeClan is in, but whatever the reason may be, this cat is determined to answer the question on everybody’s mind - who killed Wolfstar? Orchidgaze from [canon adoptables] would fit this role well! |
NEPTUNE | Cherrynose This cat associates themself with the Galaxy role, as well as Pluto. There’s a chance they harbor a deep hatred for RidgeClan and no longer want anything to do with Clans. They imagine a future where they don’t have a connection to the Clans, but actually taking that step is quite daunting, especially since they don’t want to live the lonely life of a rogue. This cat has major involvement in The Kingdom as the Nightwalker Leader and therefore, will be selected by audition. Cricketleap in [the birds sing songs of hope] would fit this role well! |
