PERSONA:

Viper's name suits her well because she can sometimes be a snake. While she is capable of loyalty, it is best not to invest too much faith in her. The minute an opportunity arrives that she can benefit from, she will likely take it. That being said, the number one person she looks out for is herself. Impulsive, impatient, and quite insensitive, Viper is hard to know for who she truly is. The woman puts on a good show.

The persona she performs for others is an undeniably charismatic one. Her tongue is equally silver as it is sharp. Her eyes can convey emotion even if her heart does not feel it. Oddly enough, she is extremely emotional; they would rule her if her mind weren't so sharp. There are times when her inclinations get the best of her. Moments like this are often when she has to speak her truth. She can be too honest for her own good, even if it makes others uncomfortable.

While she isn't the most golden and kind feline out there, she does have some good qualities. Viper is a great conversationalist and thoroughly enjoys exploring all things new. The only thing better than talking about something is doing it. Arbitrary discussions quickly bore her, and she will shamelessly end such interactions. Another great quality is that it is hard to feel awkward. One can easily find themselves included in being charmed. She is very perceptive and tries to make everyone feel involved by paying attention to subtle details easily missed by others.  A great social butterfly. Viper finds social interactions fun and exciting, so many different people out there. Everyone is so different. The combination of her bold aura and convincing words can make for an alluring sense of originality. Sometimes, when it is all said and done, she surprises herself (for better or worse).

Her moral compass has trouble staying true to any direction; therefore, she is unpredictable. You'd have better luck flipping a coin than trying to guess whether she will hold her tongue today and lie tomorrow.

HISTORY:

It is hard to say why she became this way. Perhaps she had to survive in an unforgiving world all on her own, lying her way out of unfair situations. Solitude has a funny way of twisting those subjected to it. Maybe she is terrified of truly being alone and that is why she prefers to surround herself with new people and things. 

Life was never smooth for her. Viper's mother was a stray and her father, from what she knows, a kitty pet. While her relationship with her mother was... a token one at best, she did give brief details about her father. He was a kittypet, living an easy life; he didn't want to share the attention from his humans so he chased Mother away. Maybe it was the way Viper was his spitting image that caused her mother to cast her aside. Maybe that was why Viper was nameless until she decided to give herself one. Viper essentially had to raise herself. Sometimes she can act like a rotten child but save her some patience, she never was shown another way.

When she finally dared to face the world outside that damp and dark alleyway, she was quickly beaten down. Humans, dogs, and even fellow cats were quick to take advantage of a skinny little kitten. Every time she had invested trust in someone, they quickly stabbed her in the back. There was a time when she was naive and optimistic. The sly she-cat and the hopeful kitten inside her are often at odds with each other.

Though she is capable of change, the way she is now is much safer.

Pre-Plotting: 

Exploring Whitewater: Viper will end up in the barn, where Summit and others will meet her and tell her about the clans. This interaction will spark her interest, which will lead to her traveling and meeting every clan. 

The first clan she will visit is Prairie Clan. She will meet Midge there, who will show her the ways and ropes.

Getting To Know The People: 
- Indigo and Viper will meet despite similar appearances and contrasting personalities.

- Constantine and Viper will also interact and dive into deeper subjects like childhood trauma.



Friends: While there are many who have and will consider Viper a friend of theirs, she has yet actually to have one. Viper has never trusted anyone to be totally honest with them, and it's her way of ignoring her lack of authenticity.



Romance: Though she hasn't experienced true romance, she can be a dilettante. Such things can be very fun, and Viper enjoys the excitement and spontaneity of a fling. Though she doesn't spend any time dreaming of "the one," she wouldn't be opposed to such a cat arriving in her life. She has to get over the hump of leaving when things look bleak.



Rivals: While she certainly has some, she never cared enough even to remember who. There certainly will be some eventually.
